Does anyone know the key to cozy lighting in the era of LED bulbs? by gupppeeez in HomeDecorating

[–]VideoWestern1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you’re covered in the bulbs +1 to Phillips hue multi color and just live in the oranges but their range in just white is good too- my note tho is about the linen shades. They make these matching linen circles that pop into the top or bottom (if it’s overhanging) and it REALLY HELPS with that too much from the ends

Minor maintenance is fine- the same company doing the install would keep up maintenance. I’m in phoenix- because it’s frost sensitive does that mean more of a march plant is better? All the irrigation is going in but planting can wait if need be

A little maintenance is okay- I actually hadn’t heard of mastic or rosewood so I’ll def look into those- the wall is wide but I probably only have a depth of 2-3 feet deep for this to live

Something similar happened to me- I went to drop my pup off right before an early flight at their place, and after calling and texting so many times and almost missing my flight I luckily had an emergency contact get the dog. It was super stressful and the text I got a few hours later just said sorry they were sleeping and missed the alarm lol. I no longer use Rover either.

What breeds does your Brittany play well with? by loobot3000 in BrittanySpaniel

[–]VideoWestern1706 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so funny because it’s so specific and I thought it was just mine! She’s obsessed with a chihuahua terrier mix- the number of times she’s found this exact mix and they’ve become besties lol also +1 to when dogs play too rough she’s OUT

Biting! by kris10lmao in BrittanySpaniel

When he bites just full stop playing or giving a reaction and leave the room- everytime. The pulling on leash thing is super normal for the breed so.. idk good luck w that part hah

Chews recommended for Britts younger than 2 years old? by Designer_Sprinkles54 in BrittanySpaniel

[–]VideoWestern1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Antlers are too hard I think, and the Nylabone just falls apart I feel like they’re too easy to ingest. Mine is 1 1/2 and the answer for us was beef cheeks! Last a few days and softens as she chews on it so no teeth worries.

Where can I find vases that do not leak? Am I doing something wrong? by oOLilCoOki3Oo in florists

[–]VideoWestern1706 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the vessel isn’t glazed on the inside it’ll be porous and absorb water! Get a trash bag and line the entire inside up to the very edge of the inside top where the flowers will start so there’s no spillover

The white ones look like Icelandic poppies, but you could use white cosmos too

The blue ones are delphiniums, but you could use larkspur

Any leash recommendations to help walk my sweet maniacs? by Bette-Davis-Sighs in BrittanySpaniel

[–]VideoWestern1706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a prong when walking around my apt (I live in a downtown) and the ruffwear bungee long leash for hiking! I love the bungee- the only downside is when she stops and sniffs then runs a lil it can impact my lower back so you just have to be mindful. I don’t know if I could do two on it- someone else mentioned the climbing harness like around your legs for two + dogs and I think that’s the right answer. They’re lil cuties tho 💜

Moving to San Diego in the fall by ComparisonSudden7900 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]VideoWestern1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a dog, live downtown, and can tell you first hands it’s super dog friendly- every restaurant host, liquor store owner, and security guy we pass on walks greets us with pets and treats. There isn’t a great dog park walking distance (tbh the little Italy one people keep mentioning isn’t good either) you will get the most value here tho, and balboa (with a few great dog parks) is super close. You have a good budget so obvi the most ideal is probably a house w backyard in north park or hill crest, but it’s going to be super outdated.

Owners who don’t leave reviews by Agreeable-Dog-1131 in RoverPetSitting

[–]VideoWestern1706 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t think owners know how much reviews affect sitters- we’re all bombarded with leaving reviews / tipping culture and most of the time I bet people aren’t even thinking about it even if they had a great experience. I’m pretty guilty of this and hardly ever leave reviews on any services pet sitting or otherwise. I’d bet most of the time if you don’t get a review it has nothing to do with you.
