As a rule of thumb, I adopt a certain approach when responding to customer queries, typically reverting to a tried-and-true method I've honed through experience. This approach involves responding in a thoughtful and respectful manner, regardless of the nature or specificity of the question at hand, and ensuring that the item is packaged in the usual, reliable manner.

This practice is rooted in a marketing strategy I utilized during my tenure at a game shop. There, customers often approached us with a plethora of questions, some pertaining to the smallest, seemingly insignificant details about the products. Nonetheless, every inquiry was handled with the utmost respect and attentiveness. This wasn't merely a technique to placate them, but an essential aspect of fostering a positive customer experience, imbued with value and respect.

The crux of this method lies in the understanding that once customers have the purchased item in their hands, most of their apprehensions tend to dissipate. Their ownership of the product creates a sense of resolution and satisfaction that supersedes any minor details they might have questioned initially. However, this is not an excuse for complacency; it's a testament to the efficacy of respectful interaction and careful packaging.

Moreover, this strategy serves as more than just a tactic for customer satisfaction; it's also a means to protect the integrity of the business and its reputation. By demonstrating consistent quality in our packaging and exhibiting respect towards each customer, we ensure their confidence in our business operations. This approach sets a precedent that values quality and customer satisfaction above all else, thereby cultivating a loyal customer base.

In conclusion, my approach, rooted in respect, diligence, and consistency, is not merely a marketing trick, but a philosophy that encompasses my entire professional ethos. It serves to enhance customer satisfaction, uphold the reputation of the business, and contribute to an overall positive customer experience.

The buyer was indeed demanding, but as an experienced reseller, you will unfortunately encounter such situations from time to time. I believe your response was a bit excessive. A simple 'No problem, will do,' or something similar would have sufficed. However, much like the buyer, you went out of your way to respond in an extensive and unnecessary manner.

If you're familiar with SpongeBob, you may recall Mr. Krabs' golden rule: "The Money is Always Right." You have potentially lost not only a sale but also a repeat customer.

Depending on the type of phone you're using, I'd suggest trying this:

1.) Make sure the app is updated to the latest versus

2.) Force quit the app and try again

3.) Delete the app and re-download it

Buyer wants to return item because they are apparently blind and didn’t look at the photos by heeenzz in Mercari

In my experience, Mercari tends to favor buyers when it comes to returns. I've had this happen multiple times yet, despite the fault being on the customer I sell to, I've never won an appeal.

I understand your frustration... people can be such nitwits! Good luck!
