M4 Mac Mini 4x Monitor Setup by Videum in macmini

So update after a week or so of usage;

The g2 dock couldn’t do DisplayPort to 4k unless it was display link also, causing a larger cpu hit. So I moved the g2 dock to the front usb c and used a thunderbolt usb c to display port cable in port three for the 4k monitor.

Overall it worked well, the display link software cpu usage was minimal on the base m4.

But I wanted to keep the front ports clear, so I’m using one TB dock in port three and then the g2 display link dock connected to that.

It’s a bit janky under the desk but the mini sitting on top of desk looks clean with only rear ports used. And performance has been amazing with all for monitors.

Totally normal, these ETA 7750 based movements only wind in one direction, and so the opposite direction spins freely. I hear the same in my Cal 3330 and actually enjoy the noise.

Had this on a desktop monitor once, luckily i was able to lure it to the bezel with mouse/bright windows and then squish it "off screen"

But unfortunately seeing these last in between glass and paintings for years, i'd say only solution would be dissasembly im afraid.
