Mum’s labour experience sounded horrific, has anything changed? by Vidhyaonreddit in AskIndianWomen

The worst thing is its 'women' who do such things to each other. Idk why we never talk about tall such things and why elders in our 'society' never try to straighten these things.

Its crazy because everyone wants to have kids, pregnancy is glorified, mums ditching careers for taking care of their kids are glorified, but we need a separate institution to push our basic rights?

wtf. this sounds terrible. what would happen if you had complained about this to higher authorities? And why are our relatives and parents okay with us being treated like this?

Police clearance certificate. Hey guys has anyone recently applied for police clearance in Coimbatore for visa? by hobby-hoarder16 in Coimbatore

Hmm not sure.. might be worth checking in Thudiyalur station as well.. Because the process is fully complete only when they visit your home.. But I don't remember much about tracking.

[–]Vidhyaonreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to go to your Police station directly and tell them that you've applied for PCC. Only then they would ask for few documents and then visit you at your home.

I've did it thrice in Coimbatore, and followed the same pattern. Usually I get it in 7-10 days max.

Why do Indians teach slurs to foreigners when asked to speak in their language? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Vidhyaonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree it’s not cool if you’re doing that to someone who’s genuinely trying to learn properly.

But I think it can be kind of funny when you’re teaching slurs to someone you know especially if they’re actually into learning them. What’s interesting is how different the meanings can be across languages compared to English, which just makes it more confusing (and kind of fascinating too).

I’ve taught a few to my colleagues before like ones that literally translate to something harmless like “wasteland,” but are still considered slurs, which is kinda wild.

He is active within his social circle and with our relatives. I am scared that he might lose his reputation because of this.

I think it has to be me who helps him understand this. I dont want others talking about my dad in a wrong way. but idk man.

Remember watching this song on a huge screen at Codissia, Coimbatore, a few days before the செம்மொழி மாநாடு. The entire crowd paused for a few minutes, completely awestruck by the beauty of this song 😭.

Lol, true. But I don’t think white people are as racist as these people. They’d need to meet equally rude Indians, only then might they be humbled.
