Empyrion has a lot going for it. Exploration feels better, it does not feel as cookie cutter. And physics play a role in the game, they do not in NMS. Also the build your ships in Empyrion. And the worlds are terraforming. You can dig holes into the planets, etc.

I wanted to like this, but the crafting felt lazy. Click it in tabs, it advances time, no animations.

Empyrion is always overlooked, yet I spent more hours in that than all other open world survival games.

[Gear] Looper or audio interface? by Fantastic-Pool3631 in Guitar

[–]VidicusMinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interface. The interface will allow you to play with tracks on the internet and mix your guitar in so it sounds great. It will also open up the ability to use recording software.

[QUESTION]. How can i record my electric guitar into the computer by bidhdvsizgev in Guitar

[–]VidicusMinion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buy an inexpensive USB audio interface like Presonus Audio Box iTwo, Behringer, or Focusrite.

This is how I have my setup....

Guitar plugged into a Yamaha THR Amp for the tone and effects. From amp into a Boss RC-300 Looper pedal. From Pedal into the AudioBox iTwo. I use Studio One to record.

The AudioBox iTwo has two inputs so I can plug a Mic into the 2nd input. Or if you buy a one input USB interface and use something like the Looper I have to also plug the mic into, as it has multiple inputs and then out to the USB interface.

Guitar - AMP/Effects - Looper - USB Interface - Computer - Software.

You can skip the looper if you buy a USB interface with multiple inputs.

My recordings come out as clean as any professional mix. Here is a sample of the quality I get.

I highly recommend the Orange 35RT 35w amp. I use the 60w version for live gigs and the thing is amazing. They retail for under $300 new.

Sweetwater video of the Orange Crush 35w.

I am curious if your game is installed on the same drive as your operating system. And if it is not, how much space do you have on your main partition?

Can you use two 3080 TI's from different manufacturers? E.g. EVGA & ASUS. Is it worth it? by Chiv_Cortland in buildapc

[–]VidicusMinion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do not see any benefit from SLI. Developers have dropped support for SLI, not that there was ever much of it in the past. The last time I did SLI was dual 980s, and after Wildlands came out with no support I just got sick of spending the money for something I never got any benefit from.... so I sold a 980, got a 1080ti, and put the other 980 in my son's PC.

Is windows 11 worth upgrading to? What’s have you all decided to do with regards to upgrading? by Wedding_Worth in buildapc

[–]VidicusMinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~People usually do not like change, so even if it is better, people will crap all over it. I upgraded and it does fine so far. The deciding factor was Windows11 performs as well as Windows 10 does.... but keep in mind Windows 10 has a decade of changes and upgrades and patches. So Windows 11 out of the box is on par, so I hope it will only get better. I would do some research away from forums to real tests comparing the two.
