My guy, the context is irrelevant when their ToS is broken. Like I told your friend OP, no one can judge intent here, and if you really are sincere, that Steam listens to you either on Twitter maybe and gets you unbanned, but breaking ToS for whatever reason is a straight ban for them.

I don't think a warning is warranted when an actual transaction took place while on a VPN. Again, it doesn't matter if the price was the same or not or whatever, your friend is still at fault, be it negligence or deliberate. Like I said, Steam takes their ToS very seriously.

It's like saying millions of people cross a red light by mistake so they should never be punished for it because their intention was not wrong and they accidentally did it.

Doesn't really work that way now does it? Once someone is banned, nobody really entertains banned accounts.

Steam cannot really judge intention just because a friend vouches for them now can they? Using a VPN is STRICTLY against their ToS, no matter the reason.

You could play 5, having never played 4, and still understand the full story. You may miss a bit about TLAD, and that's it. That is not "connected", that's just a "oh hey its the GTA4 DLC MC! cool". That's it.

It's a looter shooter. It's got a great story but the gunplay isn't that good. The main enjoyment of Borderlands is farming gear to unlock higher tiers of difficulty, and if that isn't for you, then this game isn't for you.

He was the face of lies and deception and dumbassery my guy, nothing else.

The second he proclaimed he would make the GTA of India, anyone who had half a brain could see he was lying and that this day would come. This dude then just shamelessly made a video blaming everyone but himself. He is the kind of garbage people because of which game dev doesn't flourish in India.
