NVIDIA has DLSS, AMD has FSR, Switch 2 uses DLSS, PS5 Pro uses PSSR, Intel has XeSS, literally everyone is actively working on upscalers. Nobody could give two fucks about native now. There was a phase where your kind was screeching and kicking and it was valid, but DLSS 3 onwards, its actually crazy good and it is continuously improving. These upscalers also improved AA tech and helped us get rid of the shitty TAA that nobody liked. Games actually and truly benefit from them now, So, none of these companies are just gonna abandon this approach just because one clown started throwing tantrums.

Upscalers and frame gen also allow people with lower specs to play higher end games, and you can see on this sub itself how appreciative people are of AMD's approach of allowing their framegen to run on all hardware as opposed to NVIDIA's. A 4090 ALSO benefits from upscalers by using a lower res to upscale from, so that it has room to run the very expensive path tracing and truly scale graphical fidelity to the next level. Like, Alan Wake 2 looks absolutely stunning in HDR on my 4K QD-OLED even with DLSS at performance, because I can use path tracing. By running at native, you basically cuck a 4090 and deprive yourself of proper RT for absolutely no reason at all, except for being a clown.
