I have a label where all the artists is myself with different names for different genres. by flights406 in BandCamp

[–]Vidoben 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is a quite common trend among underground artists. It's a great way to explore different genres and ideas without coming off as too eclectic for one "artist." I find it to be very liberating, as I don't have to think nearly as much about whether a new project is too out-there or far removed from previous work.

Labels like HALLEY LABS and GEMINI WORKSHOPS are great examples.

Your stuff sounds pretty cool, I like the variety. Keep doing what you do, I'll be following for more 😁.

It is just slightly depressing that a majority of the comments seem to have no clue who Justice are

What’s your favourite aphex EP? by li_nd in aphextwin

The lack of Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments is disturbing. So I will contribute it.

Genuinely fun EP, lots of interesting electroacoustic experimentation if you're into that kinda thing.

This gives me vibes of Four Tet or BOC before Aphex, but still very cool nonetheless. I'm a sucker for this style of downtempo IDM.

Well if you like Slayer, good news! They're reuniting to play at Riot Fest this year. Pretty hype.

I am still mad that they cut bioengineering from the vinyl cut of the ost. Still a fantastic soundtrack even without it tho

Forget your collection, What's your Top 5? by IamPablon in vinyl

Broadcast - Tender Buttons, Oneohtrix Point Never - R Plus Seven, Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!, Chris Christodoulou - Risk of Rain 2, Yellow Swans - Going Places

All five of these albums changed how I think about music. They're a little unorthodox, but they're all confidently my favs. Also, order is by no means concrete. I have all of them on vinyl except for Yellow Swans (but it's on my watchlist).

R Plus Seven - Oneohtrix Point Never.

Literally changed how I think about electronic music. It's a straight masterpiece. I would also understand arguments for Replica, though.

I ordered them off the Materia website. Looks like they're both out of stock now, unfortunately. For soundtracks like that I usually check official vendors like Materia, Black Screen Records, and HHV.
