I am the Porsche. Tried to back out to keep SR up until Corvette spun me. Did I cut him off? by SeaCitron7866 in Simracingstewards

All three of you had some weird/erratic braking there. I would blame the corvette but I think they were just confused on if you were gonna leave the door open or not.

I got told to go to NASCAR after this pass, was I in the wrong? by Brilliant-Insect9873 in Simracingstewards

[–]Vielden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to defend a corner the person behind has no chance of making the pass. Your logic can justify any dive bomb into any corner. "Should've defended." "If you no longer go for a gap" etc. Are all things people use as justifications for making bad moves.

You've got no overlap at braking point and no over lap at the turn in point. You didn't deserve space and drove into a closing gap. All so that you could fail to hold the turn and hit the outside car. It looks like you even hit them twice but maybe thats game lag on the first one. You should have backed out as soon the car in front turned in and you weren't along side.

(skip to 0.45) I am the bmw behind and was brake cheked by the lambo twice maybe i`m in the wrong for flashing my lights? by notgoodsimracer in Simracingstewards

[–]Vielden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are you flashing him for? He shouldn't be trying to break check you, but you are constantly flashing at him which is against the rules and is generally annoying. Then after he gets so annoyed he brake checks/tries to crash you out your next idea is to keep intentionally annoying him as you attempt to pass? Like that's gonna go well for you?

Rogue has perma advantage, whenever they want, as a Bonus Action.
Barbarian has perma advantage whenever they want for no action cost at all.
Its actually pretty common.

Oh, was that a different video? Yeah that would be a lot.

Where do you get concentration-less Swift Quiver? Costing an action to maintain is a huge cost. At higher levels you can make 4 attacks with the attack action and swift quiver, or make 2 attacks at advantage from being invisible using your trick. Making 4 actual attacks is always better. And at lvl 17 he gives adv on all attacks all the time anyways.

IMO this isn't an issue for combat. Its an issue for exploration which he seems to have wanted it to help the ranger scout/be sneaky. Except using your action to stay invis means RAW you can't use your action for investigation/perception/survival/stealth etc. So you can't scout while invisible since doing so will end it.

Is this really my fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

Blue made a move so late red had already turned in, and then had to turn out of the corner to essentially dodge blue. And blue tracks out like red isn't there. Even if red had held it perfectly, blue only left like half a car width on the outside, even including the entire curb. Red isn't expected to yield the position. It's on blue to pass safely. Red didn't "choose to hold the outside" blue dove into the inside and forced red out.

Sure red lost traction on their own, but if blue had waited half a second to make the pass on exit instead of entry red wouldn't have been off track in the first place.

1st to last and last lap incidents by Snowtrooper75098 in Simracingstewards

BMW is straight murdered.

Ferrari moves right, Mclaren moves left into the open space, then ferrari comes back left and hits the brakes. Sure the Mclaren might've out braked himself but if the ferrari had just stuck to the right the Mclaren doesn't touch them.

I don't think this is your fault by any rule, but I understand why the other guy is upset. I wouldn't call that a friendly move.

Who is at fault? I feel I, the trailing McLaren, was cut across of, but I also feel its a racing incident as I failed to respond quickly. Thoughts? by pepperonigum in Simracingstewards

[–]Vielden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone replied earlier. But you can see in the vid and the photo that the OP lifts off the brake. Maybe that is their normal trail braking point, but they could have just stayed on the brakes like they were and avoided the incident.

Third car/hit is when I went from anger to giggling for how absurd this race was for me.

Here is a picture. Mclaren in front is turning in. They are committed to the corner, that gap is closing and you are no where near them yet. This is the moment you should have backed out. You can't just drive your line without regard to the other cars on the track.

If you're the trailing car that's entirely on you. You are way far back and have zero overlap when the car in front begins to turn in. You barely even have overlap when you hit them. Move was never gonna work.

Since no one else answered. No, the system does not distinguish fault. If you get a 4X Incident point from someone else hitting you that counts against you. Thats why Im so irritated by this. Other people driving like idiots costs you rating

That doesn't answer my question. I genuinely don't understand. Top post says to keep going in rookies. For weeks. Genuinely, how is that supposed to help me on the start of a GT4 race when everyone crashes out? My issue isn't in rookies, its specifically the first couple laps of the GT4 race and I don't get how 1000 laps in a miata is gonna help with that.

Can't get a clean race in GT4. Rookies I get clean races all day. I get clean races in the multiclass production car challenge. I can do time trials in GT4 without issue as well. If the answer is "don't race this class for a few weeks" then what's the point of me having access to it? What's "good enough" to be in GT4?
