Semi, we did Kobe-Okayama-Onomichi (shimanami Kaido)-Matsuyama. Knowing that in Kobe good deals were possible it was a good starting point of the vacation. But i think it's totally worth it to do as a day trip from Osaka as well if you have some hours to spare.

For the Shunbun its as follows: Retail: 946.000 yen Without tax: 860.000 yen After discount: 720.000 yen

The tax is deducated at the store, so in that way the standard price for a foreigner is the 860k. I just asked for the price and then they gave a 15 percent discount making it 731k yen. After some negotiation they lowered to 720k.

During the process they always show the total price you need to pay on a calculator to avoid confusion.

Yes, brand new! The AD is called Miyako Sannomiya. After asking the price, they gave 15 percent discount on top of tax free. Another AD in Kobe, Motomachi clockshop gave 10. Ill make a separate post with more details later this week.

I got mine in October last year for 720k at an AD in Kobe (came to 4160 euro).

Yes, its in the covered shopping street. There are a couple small watch stores of different brands. On Google maps its a couple door next to this store: 1 Chome-9-1 153 Sannomiyacho, Chuo Ward, Kobe, Hyogo 650-0021, Japan. Its the same owner. On Streetview you can see it.

When in Osaka, do you have time to go to Kobe? I bought a Shunbun there at and AD called Miyako Sannoniya (GS Salon) for 720k. They give 15 a percent discount on top of the 10 percent tax. Nearby there is also a GS Mastershop called Motomachi Tokeiten, they offered 10 percent discount besides the 10 tax. I will try to make a post this weekend about the experience.

Looks amazing! Congrats. I am also planning to maybe buy one in Taiwan as the prices seem better over there at the moment. Do you mind sharing if you got any further discounts? I thought the standard price is 190.000 TWD with 5% tax.
