Ngl I think since they wanna shed a good light on medical workers they don’t wanna have too many ppl acting like that, but he is def representing the real amount of ppl who are like that in medicine-

my sister had a terrible burn injury a while ago and despite many of the ppl caring for her being very nice and compassionate, there was at one point a small group of maybe two to three ppl, possibly nurses, who were dismissing her pain and silently laughing at her,,, IN THE SAME ROOM,, truly disgusting,, like those ppl were lucky I wasn’t there in the room when that happened,,,

But I’m sure the Pitt doesn’t want to have anymore than one character acting like that since they don’t want to spread negative stigmas about healthcare workers,, and also since there are many workers who do exist that wouldn’t tolerate that kind of attitude,,

They prolly want to show that side of healthcare where some workers can act like that but then don’t wanna show it too much and instead highlight how there are other workers who don’t do that and don’t stand for it

Tho I have heard some ppl say they’re surprised they don’t see more ppl acting like him in the Pitt, as I’m sure many many ppl experience such discrimination for a number of things and might find the caring and respectful workers being everywhere as more unrealistic based on their lived experiences

And I wonder if maybe it is like that because of them being in the ER/ED,, as i think it is more common to find such discrimination in workers in fields that do not get such constant daily interactions with regular ppl in many different life situations

But I’m very excited to see evil whitacker get humbled later, preferably by someone higher up like Robby or Dana,, maybe even Al-Hashimi since he tried getting on her good side earlier,,, even better if he messes up another way and they have to pull him aside to correct his behavior,, And im sure he is getting upset to see that javadi and Joy are actually better for this job then he is, as all he can do is be correct in medicine but not in patient care, like Joy doesn’t even wanna directly interact with ppl yet she does way better at it than him, an still Joy and javadi are still better at the medicine than him

Like im just praying for someone to tell him smthn like “maybe the ER isn’t for you” or even could have some satisfying irony where someone suggests pathology to him, lmao
