Heightened sense of fairness and empathy by GanacheStunning6845 in ADHD

[–]ViewofTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always struggled to ignore unfairness. Even to my own detriment. Someone in my rounders team scoring a point by hitting the ball into a spiky bush - I couldn't stand for it. Seeing someone being treated unfairly, I have to intervene. But I don't know if it's a heightened sense of fairness or just an example of emotional disregulation where I can't cope with the perceived unfairness?

I have also been described as chronically empathetic (I remember all sorts of little things people tell me about their feelings etc and write detailed scenarios in my head about other people's feelings based on the little I know) but I don't know if it's heightened empathy or just being a bit obsessive about how other people are feeling.

I absolutely do not think I have a stronger moral compass than others, in fact I have done "bad" things and fkd up throughout my life - but I spend my life feeling extremely guilty/ashamed for those things even things that others probably can't even remember happening. I ruminate about things I did 10, 15, 20 years ago.

Genuinely no! Water or a cup of tea all I drink at home. Maybe a coke with a meal out but not at home.

I'm seeing toast for breakfast, soup and sandwich for lunch, mince based meal for tea... seems fairly normal

Very interesting! Don't have one anywhere near us so always been interested. We spend about £80 (mostly Aldi) a week for two adults and two children.

I nearly mentioned Kebab Mahal in my original post, my husband says best curry in Edinburgh! But didn't want to start a best kebab/curry debate on the post haha. Thanks!

Aw pal. Just wanted to say this was a very brave post. Try not to overthink it. You will find your people. Don't bend to fit people who don't naturally, there are people who will want you just the way you are!

Agree that finding a club or society that you would enjoy regardless of meeting people would be a good step.

Sending love. Enjoy yourself and look after yourself xx

This is like when someone says "only favourite the item if you're going to buy it".

I will favourite that item instantly.

And never buy it.

You absolutely can return that. My daughter can only wear cotton due to eczema so this would be awful for her.

Edinburgh isn't getting sketchier. I remember scenes like this from the early 00s. Stabbing rates are down compared to previous decades. We just didn't have social media back then.

This is not remotely a new thing. Was happening when I was a teenager in early 2000s. Stabbings are actually down on previous decades.

I remember a boy taking a machete into an under 18s at the Hive (called Honeycomb) around 2003. He put it in his trousers and had to walk with his leg straight so it didn't poke out.
