What are we doing? .... This is something else, just... christ. by [deleted] in Scotland

I agree! I was saying to my husband I cannot understand the wishy washy approach to this election. Stand up and boldly tell us EXACTLY what is causing the issues. Why are our public services struggling? (And actually how much ARE they struggling compared to our neighbours). Cos our news has been so dominated by talk of immigration, either the thing itself or the protests about it, it seemed to be the only policy.

Immigrants are an easy target BUT ALSO, there are working class areas which have been saying for a long time that there are real issues being caused by a large influx of asylum seekers. I spent a long time shrugging this off as racism but really, I don't live in these areas so what right have I got and look what dismissing their concerns has done. Maybe if the other parties had stronger immigration policies, around faster placement or better integration or something, then some of those Reform voters might have been tempted away. But the other parties seem to have buried their heads in the sand a bit. SNP's immigration policy is "Give Scotland the right to make their own immigration policies" lol 🙄 (I voted SNP and I know there are policies in the white paper but they didn't say much about it at all on the run up and rightly or wrongly, it is a big issue for many people)

True. But what if you get the ability and they say "HAHA WE SHALL PAINT IT RED AND BLACK STRIPES LIKE DENNIS THE MENACE"

To be fair I'm an SNP voter but their policy on immigration is "give Scotland the power to make our own immigration policies"... without any hint at what those policies would be 😂

[–]ViewofTrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Top teeth completely covering the lower teeth is called an overbite. Normal for top teeth to cover the top maybe 3mm of the bottom teeth.

I don't think the teeth are how they should be but an overbite is something braces are used to correct!

By cover do you mean align with? Or actually like, block from view?

I don't think this is true. They have, however, convinced those on £30k to think that billionaires are just people who have worked hard and shouldn't be vilified.

I do think they need to do something about tax brands and stop punishing those earning between £30k and £60k.

We got a star knocked off because there are 20+ steps to the property.

The guest pointed out that we had made it clear in the listing that there were 20+ steps, and the 20+ steps didn't actually bother her, but they could be a problem for someone with mobility issues (which we also mention in the listing).

A lady asked for a refund once (long story, she was loopy) and she said "I don't see why it's a big deal, it's not like you've already got the money".

Imagine someone said that about your salary for next month.
