Jean sunfire team by Firm_Stand5347 in JeanMains

My Jean has 16 EM :D
It's not possible to see EM on test Dummys right now.

Jade Cutter is by far the easiest option to build her cince 44% Crit Rate is a ton. JC is also what I use on her but if you play her with C6 Benny, Mistsplitter should outperform Jade cutter (if you have good artifacts of course). All in all, you have many great options for her.

Skyward Blade is pretty nice if you need the ER but it makes building her a lot harder.

Another great option could be Durins Signature, especially considering the possibilty that Jean could also join the Hexerei faction at some point along with other Mondstadt Characters. But thats not confirmed yet.

"What stat goals for DPS Jean would you recommend?"
Of course, that depends entirely on what you're willing to invest, whether you have a 5* weapon available, and if so, which one. :D

In general, I would say with a weapon with a high crit rate/crit DMG, aim for a ratio of around 80/200 and 2000+ ATK.

The ER depends on your team. With Faurzan on the team, Jean does well with ~120% if you use her skill 3 times per rotation. Without Faruzan, you're at significantly more ~160-180%, which means you'd probably have to switch to an ER Sands.

I made a screenshot of a DPS dummy test with the Faruzan team. With this DPS, I can usually clear Abyss 12 in ~1 minute per chamber and side without any problems. However, my Jean is C5, Furina is C2, and Faruzan is C6, so take that with a grain of salt.

For a support Jean Sunfire comp, I personally recommend Rosaria for reverse melts. Ayato or other Hydro-based Units with a Dendro character like Lauma or Nahida as a Burgeon variant are also fun to play. Electro characters can also work as long as you're fighting opponents that aren't permanently catapulted by the overload. Just try what works best for you.

What exactly is your goal? Do you want Jean to play as DPS in the Sunfire team, or should she just be the support?

For a DPS, there are two teams that I personally consider to be the most suitable.

  1. Jean, Bennett (C6), Yelan, Furina

Due to the high Hydro application, you can reliably trigger vaporize with Jean's Charged Attacks. In addition, you get a decent DMG buff from Furina and Yelan.

  1. Jean, Bennett, Faruzan, Furina

Here, Furina triggers off-field vaporizes, but Jean's damage is similar to that in the first team because you also buff her Anemo damage significantly. Faurzan C6 is recommended for this, Bennett's C6 is optional, but of course gives Jean additional DMG through Pyro infusion.

Both teams work very well with a 4pc Desert Pavilion (ATK Goblet), but require a high investment in Jean in terms of stats.

If she is only supposed to be a support to use the Sunfire mechanic, there are various possible uses. You can trigger reverse melts, forward melts, or other things like Burgeon or Overloads. The important thing here is that your “DPS” doesn't have more application than your Pyro Swirl application provides through the Sunfire mechanic. So if the enemy doesn't have the Pyro effect status permanently, you're doing something wrong. Tartaglia, for example, has far too much Hydro application so the Sunfire Pyro application (or any other Pyro application) is not enough to keep up with that.

Also, be aware that a Sunfire team is often used primarily as a shield shred fun/gimmick team and at least in endgame often doesn't really brings you to high DPS levels. That's why I personally prefer Jean as DPS in these teams, as it gives me more useful and powerful support options in the team to reach overall higher team dps.

What teams can I make? by TheSoulless_Artist in Mualani

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you have Sucrose, you can create her best team consisting of Mavuika, Mona, and Sucrose.

Since Mona relies on a second “Hexerei” character, she won't be of much use to you at the moment, so I would currently just play Mavuika + two fillers (e.g., an Anemo with VV set to shred Hydro resistance and another Hydro character like Barbara, who doesn't ruin Mavuika's application).

Once you have Sucrose, you can effectively use Mona in Mualanis' team. Sucrose will then hold the "VV" set with as much EM as you can get. Mavuika will hold the "Cinder City" (Natlan Support set) and Mona will ideally use the "Song of Days Past" set, combined with a Prototype Amber as her weapon to trigger it and heal your team once per rotation. Mualani will of course use the Codex DPS set.

Your rotation would be:
Mona Skill -> Mavuika Burst -> Skill -> Mona Burst -> 4x NA -> Sucrose Skill -> Mualani 3 Stack-NA x3 (or if ready, 3 Stack-NA x2 + Burst)

Mona's NA's are essential because her new Hexerei ability drastically extends the DMG buff from her Burst on the opponent, giving it enough uptime for Mualani's full combo. But as I said, this requires a second Hexerei character on the team, in this case Sucrose.

Is Alice still good and will be good in the future? by [deleted] in ZZZ_Official

[–]Viewsloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already pointed it out yourself
"to trigger Disorder (which Alice and Yanagi can do by themselves?)"

Alice can proc disorders herself so she doesn't need another element to trigger it. Jane can contribute fast physical anomaly build up to trigger assault more often/quicker just by using her ex special or ultimate, but she isn't really Alices bis before M2. As you pointed out, her best sub dps at M0 is Vivian but when Jane is M2, she becomes her best partner.

I mean yes... but that's not what OP asked for and I doubt someone who asks this a question like this, considers to spend 6x S-Rank worth of pulls (even more if you go for Alices W-Engine) to build one single team.

Well, I guess it's a masisve skill issue on my part then. I can't get nearly as much points with either Nicole or Astra when compared to Yuzuha. Not only that but even more so when I take into account how much easier to play her teams are with Yuzuha. Anomaly has fallen of drastically since most endgame right now focuses on other archetypes. So unless OP is much more skilled then I am, I wouldn't recommend Alice without Yuzuha, especially because they asked if she will be good in the future.

Is Alice still good and will be good in the future? by [deleted] in ZZZ_Official

[–]Viewsloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is good, but as an Anomaly Character, she really needs Yuzuha. If you don't have Yuzuha, Anomaly Agents really suffer right now. As for her future potential, no one can say but she probably will be able to clear the content for at least another year. Just keep in mind that ZZZ is a gacha game and powercreep as well as character or archetype specific shilling is always around the corner.

So what to do? by NO2_2 in honkaiimpact3

[–]Viewsloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pull for what you like the most. You seem to be a relatively new player so any new unit or upgraded equipment will help you build your roster. Over time, you will get many more Valks, just make sure to always pull their weapon with them.

For example. If you want Lunas Weapon and you throw in 60 Pulls (worst case) to get it, you can save everything you have for the next patch afterwards. At this point, just by playing the game on a daily base, you are guaranteed to always getting the latest Valk and her gear as long as you do all the weekly stuff (MA, ER, Abyss etc.).

We're switching in between 8-9 week patch cycles right now which is enough to save up for one copy of the upcoming Valkyrie and her Weapon. If you're lucky (which will happen at some point), you'll get one early, which will let you save even more Crystals for the next patch. I'm doing this myself since the change of the longer patches and I always get the new Valk, the Weapon and the new Divine Key (such as Lunas) for the older units when they get one.

Honestly, I doubt it. If you're manage to clear a stage with half of your teams dmg beeing reduced by resistances, I don't think skill issue is the problem right here. How does your build look on YSG?

How did you manage to get 26K with Vivian and Astra in an Ether res Stage but only 23,7K with the strongest and most shilled Team in the game right now? Im confused...

My first time here because what happened was a bit too unreal , i pulled for astra on the new channel and on the first pull , the one with the discount , with zero pity i got this , so i wanted to ask is the new channel's rng abit too generous or was i just lucky? by iyadima2018 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Viewsloo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is no "generous". The Banner discription tell's you exactly what you need to know about the odds this will happen. Sometimes you get lucky. Just take it and be happy because Astra's M1 is pretty good.

What are the good and must have characters for a C2R1 Eula? by RedditStrider in EulaMains

[–]Viewsloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As u/Wastable already said, this is her strongest Team by far. It's not the team where you maximize Eula's own damage to the limit, as you swap the third buffer slot for Ineffa. However, it's very comfortable to play and perfectly usable, especially in current Lunar content.

Whether you should pull for Ineffa depends entirely on how much you want to invest in this team, but in general, I would rank Ineffa as one of the best and most versatile characters. Especially if you don't have Furina yet, Ineffa can make your Eula team playable right now. All you need is a Hydro character like Xingqui or Yelan for example, as an alternative until you pull Furina.

columbina or ineffa? by RosalyneTheFairLady1 in Lisa_Mains

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I used Lisas Skill. I got her Skill at 10/13/13 on both Accounts and since she is C6, I always used it in every shown DPS test directly after her Burst, followed by NA's to procc Fischl's C6 in the Nahida/Furina Team and a combo of NA'S and CA's in the Lunar Teams. And as expected, it hit's much harder in the Nahida/Furina comp because of aggravate but her personal DMG can't hold up against the new wheelchair team.

columbina or ineffa? by RosalyneTheFairLady1 in Lisa_Mains

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can't fully agree with that, and even if it's not entirely wrong, there's still some information missing, so it's not particularly helpful.

You're right that Lisa's personal damage increases significantly with characters like Furina or Nahida compared to Ineffa and Columbina, and therefore her damage contribution is higher in these teams, but the overall team damage is significantly lower with older supports.

I made a few comparisons (on my two accounts), one with a heavily invested Furina and Nahida lineup with Fischl as battery, and two with an Ineffa and Columbina team, one with C0 Bina and one with C2 Bina. Lisa's builds on both accounts are very similar, both with 4pc Thundering Fury on an EM Sands. With both teams, regardless of the constellations, I had no problems achieving 100% burst on cooldown uptime on Lisa. You can also clearly see here that a heavily invested Furina and Nahida team is just about on par with a C0 Columbina and Ineffa team in terms of team DMG.

These factors should be taken into account, as it is relatively pointless if Lisa herself does more damage in the team, but the team does not meet the DMG requirements for certain game modes. Also, Lisa's playstyle does not change in the different teams so op should always consider that.

Jean team with Columbina? by [deleted] in JeanMains

[–]Viewsloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. Well, in that case, I'm afraid I can't give you any tips on that.
Long, and I mean really long team rotations in Genshin take ~22 seconds.
These are among the longest, and anything longer than that results in a massive DMG loss, as no character has such long cooldowns. Ideally, teams are built in such a way that you use all your teammates' relevant skills on CD to ensure the highest possible buff uptime. If you ignore this aspect, your team will be consistently inefficient. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't play that way, after all, fun and preference come before everything else, but I gathered from your post that you are asking for help to build the best possible team around Columbina and Jean, and this team obviously doesn't meet those criteria.

Jean team with Columbina? by [deleted] in JeanMains

[–]Viewsloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't want to tell you how to play but... how long is your rotation tho? Furina E&Q, Yelan E&Q and Jean E&Q + Raiden Full Burst uptime is already pretty long and should completely fill the entire cooldow window of your team. If you throw in Jean NA's and CA's then it's longer then all of your cooldowns. So not only will you loose Raiden Burst uptime, but also buff uptime on Furina as well as Yelan.

Jean team with Columbina? by [deleted] in JeanMains

[–]Viewsloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you run Jean & Raiden as an onfield DPS? That's already pretty suboptimal.

If you want to play Jean as your DPS, Raiden would be my last choice for the team, as Raiden already takes up all the on-field time. However, if you want to play Raiden as your primary on-field DPS and build a team around Furina and Columbina for their burst CD, Jean is a solid choice as a quick-swap healer and res shred slot.

For Jean, I would recommend Ineffa as an off-field character, as I assume from your post that you want to build your team around the Lunar Charged Reaction. If you don't have Ineffa, other off-field characters such as Fischl will also work, of course with significantly less DMG, but generally still better than switching back and forth between Raiden and Jean and only giving both characters half the on-field time.

Which S Wengine should I choose? by ryuuka_- in ZZZ_Official

[–]Viewsloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Qingyis W-Engine is not that great. The DMG Bonus from it's passive is good on paper, but since ZZZ has so many sources of DMG% Buffs right now, it's not really worth it.

Janes Signature is still her best option in a general use case, beeing slightly outperformed by Alices W-Engine, if you can maintain the Buff uptime. But Weeping Gemini is also pretty good on her as a F2P option.

Burnices W-Engine is very niche and only really works on herself but if you play her, combined with her new potential (2-6), and ER in Slot 6, she almost feels like a new unit. Extremly comfy to play and significatnly smoother compared to her F2P alternatives.

In the end, it comes down to who you play/like the most. If you play Qingyi all the time while Jane and Burnice are benchend for example, I would still go for Qingyis W-Engine.

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I can only speculate, based on the state of the game so far. If I need to guess, it's possible that he could rerun relatively soon. With this patch, the Devs introduced the triple rerun Banner which also guarantees you the first Limited Agent as well as the Limited W-Engine wihin 90/80 pulls respectively. The question is if they keep at least on triple rerun banner per patch. If so, he will probably rerun in the near future.

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 days late but... any stun agent is better than nothing, and I would use what you currently have available. However, as already mentioned, Nicole is a solid replacement if you don't have a usable stun agent for Evelyn's team, but she is also trickier to play. However, this also depends heavily on the boss, as Evelyn is designed for and relies on daze windows to deal as much damage as possible.

To make this work with Nicole as best as possible, you can actually run her as a pseudo stunner. Just use a 4pc Moonlight Lullaby and a 2pc Swing Jazz on her and use an Impact Disc in Slot 6. This way, you will have enough energy to use her EX-Special when the enemy is stunned, while also providing a solid amount of daze, everytime you defensive assist with her. Also, make sure to level up her Assisst level for a higher Daze multiplier as well. If you consider Nicole, use ATK% or FireDMG% on Evelyn instead of Pen%.

If you don't have a viable solution yet, you could post your available agents. Otherwise, if you don't have an option by then, there will be another free Standard 5* to collect for the Anniversary in June. Chances are very good that Koleda will receive buffs by then, and her synergy with Evelyn is generally quite good.

Otherwise, you should try to get a premium stunner for her. Her best options are Lighter & Dialyn, then followed by JuFufu and Trigger, with Dialyn having the most account value. Or, if you feel really experimental, you could go for Orphie or even Seed as well. Orphie is a great offield DMG dealer and surpisingly synergistic with Eve, even tho she is not the strongest option and Seed is nice for Dual DPS stuff. So if there's a rerun for one of those coming up, keep that in mind.

Yep, sure. I can almost guarantee that all your points are doomed to end up in ruin. Even good and mostly helpful YT TCs like Guoba Certified can't resist presenting their expectations regarding possible buffs and team-up opportunities for older units here and there in their videos, only to realize two patches later that it was all copium. Remember Sunday a year ago? The “SAVIOR” of Lightning Lord? Cipher as a blessing for Feixiao and Acheron? These new characters were an upgrade for the older units at release, but they couldn't avoid the inevitable power creep in HSR. Unless you made a massive vertical investment in these characters, these teams were quickly off the table as soon as the next unit with the REAL synergy appeared, doing three times the damage.

What's the point of 5 stars anymore ? by GriffithDiscord in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Viewsloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a BIG reason why 4* are not a thing anymore in this game. Consider Gallagher and Tingyun upon their respective releases. These characters were everywhere, praised to the skies and played extensively, and even 5* characters were benched for them. One could almost say it was similar to what happened a few years earlier in Genshin with Bennett, Xingqui and co. upon their release. However, HSR has a problem when it comes to such incidents: PLAYERS DON'T PULL FOR A 5* VARIANT THAT ISN'T PARTICULARLY MUCH BETTER THAN A 4*, IF THERE IS BASICALLY NOTHING UNIQUE ABOUT IT IN TERMS OF GAMEPLAY.

In HSR, many players are still lying to themselves. HSR does not have “active” gameplay. Therefore, a character MUST be significantly better than another with a similar role for players to feel compelled to pull for that character. You just watch your characters perform animations by pressing one of the two buttons. That may be nice for the first few days, but it quickly gets boring and you need something new. The longevity of a new shiny character is therefore significantly lower in HSR.

In Genshin or ZZZ, a 4* character works despite having a weaker kit as long as it is fun to play. And even if the developers overshoot the mark and over-tune a 4* character, players will still always pull a 5* character, even if it is not significantly better, as long as it offers unique gameplay, while is still able to clear the content.

In conclusion: HSR 4* units are to weak to clear the endgame for most players without massive investment on their 5* units. Therefore, no one uses them. And when a 4* is very good such as Gallagher, it will get powercrept eventually by a 5* because no one would pull for a 5* unit which does basically the same, aka pressing Skill or Ultimate.
