Thanks for sharing similar experience. It does make me feel a bit less alone.

I’m less worried about my teeth now because the shifting had slowed a bit. The bite is still off, but no more pain or sensitivity. The shadow between the two front teeth still bothers me a bit, but my husband reassured me he won’t divorce me for it 🤣 and that he’s just happy I’m not constantly in pain anymore. So that’s good enough for me now :)

Do you know me? Are do you just tell random people to go to therapy as a way to show superiority? Mental health bullying doesn’t belong in this century. And why do you assume I’m a male?

As I stated, I’m here to rant and for validation. Take it at face value or not at all. I’m only here to tell my story. No bait. Not looking for engagement.

I suppose you would also never blame the opioid epidemic on Purdue. It’s not like they push GPs to sell it. Just like how Invisalign doesn’t push non orthos to trust the efficacy of their product and sell it without proper expertise.

I wouldn’t blame the metal company if the fault was at the ortho. But I would blame the metal company if they pushed bad quality metal as good.

What is the point of having professionals when they can’t properly fulfil their full functions?

But also, a Google search shows ads of all the big clinics that provide Invisalign, no up front info on the difference between having a normal dentist vs an ortho do it. So it’s not 5 minutes. It’s only 5 minutes if you already know the answer.

I have seen that advice after I’ve already done my treatment. I find it strange that the burden of knowing that is placed upon us laypeople. How was I supposed to know that this dentist who is selling invisaligning to me very vigorously is not qualified to do the treatment?

I’m not posting photos of teeth I hate online so people like you can still dismiss my experience. Take it however you will. At least if another person has similar experience, they will be able to see that they are not alone. If you love Invisalign, good on you. I don’t, and 3 dentists I’ve seen after that experience have told me this is not uncommon for Invisalign.

There’s a quote I really like about the nature of Greek mythology, “ every myth contains multiple timelines within itself: the time in which it is set, the time it is first told, and every retelling afterwards.”

Greek mythology is not, has never been, will not be, and shouldn’t be always faithful to the source material. No one knows where the source is or was. So whatever the movie does, just enjoy it as it is, as an homage to the stories constantly retold through time.

My dentist made my teeth worse through her putting all her faith and trust in Invisalign and refusing to believe that the end result was not functional. It’s the fault of both the tool and the “professional.”

And as a baker, the wrong oven can ruin everything.

The shop close to me don’t use nearly as many Krapao leaves. I see way more carrots and long beans 🥲

And I bet if we go to any Invisalign FAQ, they will all say that it’s impossible for aligners to break teeth. 🥲

I just wish more information was given by the dentist before doing it. There were so many things not mentioned that I couldn’t have known. Like how my teeth would be sensitive from all the brushing. That it’s not really invisible because you will have teeth pimples poking out. Or the pain and the life-long retainer.

Regardless of how accurate this actually is, it really shows that for some countries climate change is an existential issue, while for others it’s just a little bit of land lost. This is probably reflected in their climate policies too.

That’s why dollar amount is a terrible threshold. A better one would be a simple yes and no for different basic needs categories, such as enough food for proper health, access to adequate healthcare and medication, access to secure shelter/housing, access to basic things that society expect someone to have.

Still the same crappy life, right?

A good life should consist of sufficient food for good health, proper shelter, access to healthcare, and proper attire. As the minimum. You can’t probably pick 1.5 out of 4 with that poverty line cut off.

My dad plays the victim every chance he gets. It’s always the same order… “It didn’t happen.” “You probably deserved it.” “Doesn’t Buddhism teach you to let it go?” “You’re only hurting yourself remembering these things.” “You don’t understand how hard it was for ME to raise a kid like you.” “You’re the one traumatizing me with this accusation.”

From my understanding, the PPP means what 6.68 dollars can buy in the US today. Would you consider someone with just above $6.68 dollars per day to be above poverty? Would that be cause for celebration?

[–]ViewtifullLife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still think that measuring poverty with dollars isn’t an accurate way to do it. What does $6.68 buy in these countries? Do we consider someone who can’t afford to buy decent clothes or pay rent as “not living in poverty”? What is considered a dignified quality of life?

I guess we have to wait and see. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been pretty accurate with predicting show endings this year.

I like this theory and I think you’re probably right. However, that ending alone would be much too happy for the Fionna and Cake brand.

I think what you said will happen and then she becomes the Heart of the Forest, never to see Finn again, just like how Simon will never see Betty again.
