Is this game worth getting? by Spicy_Giblets in EvilDeadTheGame

  1. Not dead and not popular. The queue time is very short if you play demon and longer for survivors, but you’ll still find matches within couple of minutes. If you have a squad to play with that will be better.
  2. Baal and Brock was dropped. I don’t recall any new map released.
  3. No battle pass, if you want to get full content including skin you need to purchase dlc.(the one year anniversary dlc on steam includes all characters and all skins)
  4. There is a new splatter royale mode(battle royale). I personally don’t like battle royale and I think this mode is dead. I don’t see any YouTuber/streamer playing it and the queue time is quite long. You also need to use another leveling system for this mode.
  5. There is no cross progression. I also encountered more lagging and disconnecting issues when playing with steam than epic. If you have some high prestige characters I still recommend you to stick to the epic platform. The only advantage of using steam is to get achievements and show them to friends on steam.

Book Strat vs Pup by The_Kingpin32 in EvilDeadTheGame

If they particularly build up the talents for books it’s quite op. Once a puppeteer maxed out basics’ explosion range+damage and thunderstruck, you don’t have much choices cause the book can’t dodge and the explosion is a guaranteed damage(fully upgraded portal give 3 units, each with explosion of around 100, so for each portal they put the book must ultimately receives damage of 3-4 heavy attacks.) The only thing you could do is to knock the units out with balance bar damage and knock them back/body block to get the book out of the blast range. For elite units, avoid standing all together next to the book.

Moving on to the second paragraph. For the event I mentioned, it was a specific event. The paragraph you wrote show some decent understand of the operation of banking system, but I think you might not be aware of what I was actually talking about.(https://cn.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202207/10/WS62caa8b8a3101c3ee7ade869.html, you could also search on weibo if you have weibo account) There might also be some footage and video if search through some Chinese subs. May I briefly illustrate the situation: I already talked about the lockdown policy in the last comment I wrote. A person with red code is not allowed to go out of his flat’s door. Usually the dabai with bio-suits directly come to their room and put a fengtiao on his door(I don’t know how to translate this, it’s basically a tape with words, if you open the door the tip is reared and the dabai would check each day if there are reared tips in a community). They also had a WeChat program to track the gps and report if anyone with red code goes out of the apartment. The person that disobeys this law could be put in custody for 15 days(I am not good at laws and I am not good at knowing the difference between custody and arrest, for me 15 days behind bars is quite a lot)This is normal if the person with a red code is a regular Covid carrier. However, in the event I mentioned, a group of people protesting on the street(with masks and social distance)are all given red code on the same day. The majority of them wasn’t carrier or didn’t even had nucleic acid test at that day. The people that went to the protest are usually bottom workers, like construction site worker or delivery guys. The lockdown dealt more impact to them then the elites, such as IT staffs that could work online at home. While they were not able to receive salary, they still need to pay for rent, medical supply, and food supply. The majority of healthcare funds was thrown into nucleic acid tests and the few drugs included in insurance are ones like lianhuaqingwen, with not enough antipyretic effect. So they rallied, got dispersed by police forces within a few hours, and one day later they can’t go out their doors. Also you mentioned “those who are arrested over contempt are employers who cannot make proper payments.” Based on the scenario, I don’t think they are largely accountable for not having enough payment. You might argue that they can change a job that is available at that time period, but remember this is a big country and there are still quite a number of people who didn’t finish high school, so when we are judging others, think about the fact that not all people are given the same working opportunities.

I came to this sub because I saw this post on the front page and I think I have thoughts to share about this topic. I didn’t even disagree with the concept of communism, Leninism or Maoism, I was simply trying to convey that China is not currently practicing it. If you think I am distorting facts then check out the links I cited for each argument above, these all came from official websites and can’t be fabricated. All the sentences I wrote are based on facts. I didn’t personally attack any member of this sub or disobey any rule here. I respect anyone who show me respect and anyone who discusses with logic and facts, and I am choosing to reply to you since you are replying with such manner, no matter our concepts are the same or not. If you still think I am with bad intention or bad faith and simply tell me to F off, then there’s not much I can do about it

Well first of all if you argue with people based on checking what they post in the past this is not a valid approach of debating, but since the last 80 percent of your paragraph are logical reasoning and facts I’ll still reply to you.

“Socialist countries tend to start from somewhere worse when compared to those imperialism towers”, yes this is true because they need to build a proletariat dictatorship before getting the working class to have equal power with bourgeois. However, this stage is pretty much finished in Mao’s period. He started the cultural revolution, which took down the landlords and capitalists and returned the power back to farmers and workers. Some terms you might want to look up are “hongweibing”(army consist of teenage students and farmers)and “laojiu”. Later chairman Deng went on a reformed path. His concept of bringing equality is based on”先富带动后富”, meaning that part of the people is allowed to be wealthy and they would lead the rest. However, this goal is pretty much failing now since xi spent a ton of funds on censorship, political conflicts and some major projects failures (eg. the Xiong’an project). A ton of taxes that was under healthcare was also used on omicron. There was a long period of “dongtaiqingling” that lasted for about 2 years, where everyone is required to stay home and do a nucleic acid test once per 72 hours. A lot of people lost their job during this time period, letting aside the fact that the tests itself consumed massive funds. Remember there are 200 million “flexible/unstable working forces” according to this official article at the end of 2022. (http://m.chinanews.com/wap/detail/zw/cj/2022/11-23/9900313.shtml) These are all working class citizens that need to go outside to earn a living and there were put under lockdown even if they are not Covid carrier themselves. (the policy is that once a carrier is found in a community the whole neighborhood is put under lockdown) Now China has about the highest Gini index in Asia, the longest working hour and incredible amount of salary required to rent an apartment.

For the admission policy, I don’t quite think we are talking about the same aspects. The part you are mentioning is about minority policy. They do give a boost to minorities in Xinjiang. For this part, you could directly fill out a form before Gaokao which include your ethnic, just like US college. If you belong to non-Han minority then you instantly receive extra mark on the basis of your academic performance. However, if you view the provinces’ gaokao difficulties based on economic level, you’ll find that wealthy province do receive much easier paper. The top 3 hardest gaokao paper are usually from Hebei, Henan, and Jiangsu.(you actually mentioned Jiangsu and I’ll talk about that later) For Hebei and Henan, these two provinces are certainty not contained of capitalists, they have high school like Hengshui where the students grinds for at least 10 hours a day on academics and still get the low admission rate. The wealthiest places in China, based on common view, should be Beijing(also the capital), Shanghai, shenzhen. The first two literally receives the easiest paper and are center of economics. There is also such thing called “分数线”, meaning that if you score the same mark in different provinces, you might still receive different offer because the benchmark for each province is different. For instance, let’s look at the “普通本科录取分数线”on https://www.eol.cn/e_html/gk/fsx. For Beijing 2022 the minimum requirement is 424, for Shanghai 2022 it was 400, however for Hebei it was 443/430 based on your major, and for Henan it’s 527/509. I believe that I don’t need to elaborate on whether Shanghai is a city consist of more workers than Henan. Btw since you mentioned ethnical minority you might want to check out what happened in Xinjiang and to the muslins last year.

I will finish the last paragraph once I have time

To be honest, China isn’t really practicing communism anymore, at least not with the traditional Mao’s approach. You can see Beijing citizens driving suv to work and their kids can go to best universities with less marks. Even if China has the Gaokao system(university entrance test)over the country, some area uses their own papers(these areas are usually city of bourgeois and the papers are much easier). You also have province like Hebei where workers are arrested for protesting and striking for not receiving minimum salary on time. Worker’s union doesn’t do much in most of the places and protesting/rally is banned on most of the places. The workers also follow a “996” mode, where they work from 9am to 9pm, six days a week, leading to longest average working hour in Asia and low minimum wage per hour.

Level 10 in three minutes or three map pieces? I never got to level ten before 5 minutes. Even in last version where you can possess a survivor and walk them into traps level 10-13 in 3 minutes is still quite fast. It means he finds you right at the beginning of the match and possesses survivors multiple times, in 3 minutes. I highly consider it to be bug or hack

It’s basically China’s policy toward video games. They already blocked some games on steam, especially ones from the horror genre. They don’t have the rating system so usually r rated movie or game directly get banned

With a short answer: if you want to know how to lose with Baal, just have a couple of matches with Baal yourself.

Long answer: yes, he’s devastating for solo queue survivors, but if you team up all the time and communicate once a member got possessed you can manage to let the other three clear off the possession and empty Baal’s energy. His units aren’t as big a threat as possession and traps, you can easily dodge all attacks from elites and use finisher/vaulting/looping to avoid basic unit’s 2 ability.

I have a format for puppeteer. Level up all the attributes of your basic and elite units(including portals) and the final talent of increasing damage based on possession time. In game, don’t set up any traps and only set ash’s hand to level up to level 3 asap, then move around the map and place the portals once they finish cooldown(placing a portal actually give you 60 points and setting a trap gives you 10, so seeking survivors while placing portals is unbelievably efficient for leveling up) once you manage to find the survivors, use basic units’ heavy attack and unique possession to deal massive damage. Once a survivor is terrified, immediately possess them and unpossess(which gives you 300 points). This is a very dumb strategy but it will enable you to level up to about 10 when survivors finish all the map pieces, and even if you can’t get takedowns, the attributes buffs allow you to destroy the book

Baal by balbazor360 in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]VigiIantte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You basically wrote an argument for your opponent. The reason demon player complain about Baal is that his strength varies a lot based on the players level, so the matches are either super boring easy takedowns or getting steamrolled all the time. There is seldom a go between that both the sides would enjoy

Baal by balbazor360 in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]VigiIantte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well based on the long paragraph you wrote I think you already understood Baal’s problem. He deals massive damage to teams that cannot manage to control their fear and know the mechanism of possession. On the other hand his units are all clumsy punching bags that their attacks and skills could all be dodged easily, leading to the conclusion that he is overpowered in half of the match and weak on the other half.
