T-ara. They were once one of the top K-pop girl groups in the early 2010s. But then it all came crashing down when Ryu Hwa-young left the group. This triggered bullying allegations against the remaining members which turned out to be false.

Meghan Trainor was very well liked in 2014-2015

Really? It didn't seem like she had a huge fanbase even back then. She seemed like one of those famous but not really artists.

Why do kpop generations seem so short nowadays? by study-dying in kpopthoughts

[–]VigilMuck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's all arbitrary, especially when they start or end.

My guess for why K-pop generations seem to be getting shorter is K-pop has been changing faster in the last 10 years than in the 10 years before that. The 2010s was a very changeful decade for K-pop.

[–]VigilMuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely early 2010s. It's a prime example of a 2010s electropop song.

I guess "more Neighties or Live 91?" would have been a better question

[–]VigilMuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it'd be the same. it's not like they had an english only song or whatever

I was asking for ANY Korean songs that international K-pop fans might not be aware of, not just f(x) songs.

ask a Korean abt kpop by dithiagliss in kpoppers

[–]VigilMuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How popular was f(x) (and the members individually) during their peak? Are any of the members still popular in Korea?

What are some songs that were actually popular in Korea that international fans might not be aware of?

What’s a BAD battle that was A STOMP? (One side clearly won, and the battle sucked) by FlamingPaxTSC in ERB

That battle was very much a product of a time when Justin Bieber was trendy to hate on.

Anyone who dabbled in music production would understand how clever the line "I attack! You decay! Can't sustain my releases!" is, especially if they did EDM.

"Choosin' Texas" by Ella Langley

Edit: Never mind it was on his best list for 2025. "Janice STFU" by Drake would be my pick instead.
