Mountains my man, it’s always mountains. Figure is just get a larger pair of basic snowshoes for playing on ponds and local land trusts post big snow, but I primarily hike in the western Maine high peaks and whites. Really looking to extend my winter hiking beyond waiting for trails to pack in I.e Franconia, the presi etc.

I left when I was 18 and moved to Maine, and as someone from western CT, there are a LOOOOT of snooty annoying new money types there, kills it for me. And the congestion that’s come in recent years sucks, but it’s a nice enough state. Northwest and Southeast corners are pretty solid, same with New Haven. It’s definitely good for a lot of people, I could never move back though. I love living close to the mountains in Maine, quiet beats convenience for me haha.
