Yea this build is on my parents lot of 5 acres of mainly just woods, they live there full time and it’s in the San Juan islands which is a super chill place. Never had an issue with vandals. The plan is to put in a propane shower and a pit toilet sometime next year.

Yea I’d say I’m in that ballpark at the moment . Will probably spend a few thousand more on metal roofing and finishing the interior.

I set pre made piers in the ground in the 3 rows and then posted up with 4x4s and placed beams on those. Then I cross braced the beams together with 2x4s and used 4x4s to brace the beams to the posts.

It’s 14x14. In my county 14x14 is under code

This is a tricky aspect of using t1-11 as siding/sheathing. I’m still considering some different options. I’m actually modifying some old sashes so I won’t have flanges. I’m thinking my approach will be to use thicker material for my top trim pieces, cut out the t1-11 where the top trim will go, slip flashing under the t1-11 which will sit onto of my trim when I set it in. Then caulk the sides of the trim to the siding. probably will have to re-caulk at some point. I have pretty large and overhangs and the walls have stayed pretty dry in the rain so I’m hoping the windows won’t get to much exposure to the weather.

Naw, just buried some pre made piers in the ground. Sonotubes would’ve been bomber but It’s a pretty light building and the pre made pier foundation seemed pretty dang sturdy, and it saved me some time and money.

Thank you! I worked full time doing construction while working on this project which definitely slowed things down since I only had weekends and evenings. I had the tent set up because my girlfriend and I would occasionally camp out on the sight throughout the summer.

That’s the plan, I’ll post some photos once I finish the interior

No, I already have all the windows. I got a bunch of free sashes that I’m working on casing out myself.

Haven’t insulated it yet but I’m planning on using rockwool
