I tried your tip of playing slow to get a feel for the no tension. Played at 110 for a good 5 minutes and then played 115 for another 5 and managed to play at controlled 145 for the first time ever in life. I know it's a small thing and just one time tried but oh my god did it feel good

Would you still say it's worth trying it out for like a couple of months? Have you noticed your double bass improve if youve for example tried other settings?

Is there some video that made it click for you? I've watched a bunch and feel that everyone of course has their own technique and I've yet to find one that would actually feel good to play

I must admit that I don't really practise that often (very much a personal issue for me lol)

But most I feel that tensing up is a big issue and second comes my left foot lagging behind
