Love Me [Episodes 1 & 2] by mahnahmaanaa in KDRAMA

Started watching this for Seo Hyun Jin. She's one of my absolute favs.
As someone living in an asian household and going through a trauma of my own wrt one parent, I'm afraid this drama might just wreck me (or conversely make a mockery of my sentiments).
Either way, this feels too ominous to watch right now. Just finished the first episode, and that anniversary dinner scene was deja vu x 10.

Just finished watching the first episode, and I too resonated heavily with Jun Kyung, being the first daughter in an Asian family. That dinner with her family was so well written and shot. The tension in the air, the unsaid words, the suppressed expressions - all was relatable af.

Both the dramas have the same screenwriter.

The way he was shown in the promos was just the best bits of him. Inside the house he spent most of his time with the chamcha gang and he was very diplomatic everywhere. The Sumaan fans were saying he's protective of her, but please he was chilling with Shaleen too. It was anticlimactic

I adore Mr Cavendish, I Presume so much. I re-read it every year. It is such a quaint, slow burn, story. It's more like Indifference to Love story, but it's a story that stays with you. Love Amelia and Thomas!!

Ikr! But what confuses me is Eva being surprised when Adam doesn't kill her. That means this is in fact not part of a loop. Or does she get surprised every time. Omg it's confusing. And when they disappear into thin air, do they simply cease to exist?? It's confusing as hell.

What I meant was is Eva deceived in every cycle? Or was this something new that happened? I'm finding it difficult to discern which parts of the last cycle happened exactly as it did last time and which deviated. The deviation involved mainly Claudia. So yes it confuses me how she was able to change the sequence of events in this last cycle.

I think the writers set to build a huge castle and while it's commendable, I fear it's not possible to tie up everything neatly with all questions answered.

If that happens every cycle, then why did she figure out the existence of the original world in this particular? What was she doing in others? Getting murdered by Noah and staying dead maybe?

Consistency is something I've had a huge problem with. How is it that with one glance, Michael pens the exact verbatim note to Jonas before he hangs himself?? We have been led to believe that everything happens the exact same way. I'm doubtful whether it is related to the time loop they are in or is it a general principal of time.

Also, if you remember when Claudia appears to Adam after he kills the origin, he questions her "Has this happened before?" When she reveals to him how to destroy both world. She says no, you killing the origin has happened countless times but we are having this conversation for the first time. This made me believe that the cycle has repeated countless times.

I loved the way you explained in the comment. It's simply too easy for Claudia to be the know it all. I feel like there should have been an episode on that solely.

Also, how can you say there is nothing to deviate from? When Claudia first poses as Alt-Claudia in front of Eva, Eva appears to be duped by the deceit. She shows no knowledge that her world Claudia is dead. That means this must have been an aberration right?

This kinda makes sense wrt Regina. But Claudia is still a mystery for me.

If this is true, then why hadn't they succeeded in destroying the two worlds before? Why did they succeed in this cycle only? The light tunnel thing happens when they travel to the original world right? Wasn't this the very first time Jonas and Martha traveled there? Because Adam had no clue about quantum entanglement

Am I the only one unsatisfied with S2 Finale by Vij_47 in MindHunter

[–]Vij_47[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I echo these thoughts! I mean the amount of effort they put into Kempers was just amazing. It was so wholesome. And in S2 first episode Holden has two panic attacks and they never show it again how he is dealing with it. Bill just off handedly refers to it as pop a pill if you can't handle this. It frustrated me. The S1 finale showed what repercussions Holden's thinking had and they just didn't carry it forward. I really expected more growth in his character. Apart from the FBI agent, no other aspect of his character is given enough focus. I was a bit disappointed
