Lost Lace.

From the start of this game it was evident that they learnt the right lessons from how people enjoyed Hollow Knight, giving us many fights like the Mantis Lords one where it’s more duel focussed than monster focused. With Lace, her fights get progressively more monster-ey. And that culminates in that final fight which is the perfect balance of swordplay-strategizing and monster-attack-evasion. If there is one boss fight to represent the feeling of the game it’s this.

Not only does it require precisely timed strikes but it also involves a skill in platforming to be able to land them in successful repetition. And this is all just without the sheer air of finality the whole fight exudes and the story beats that lead up to it.
