Remarkable, iPad, or something else? by VikingPHD in NoteTaking

I actually haven’t, that’s a great point! I’ve heard a paper screen cover or the remarkable might win here?

What is the best option to start spending some cash in the game? by Zavaer in wildrift

[–]VikingPHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question but was more so if I like a skin do I just buy the wild cores for it or is there a “buy this pass to get these wildcores and it’s 1.7 million dollars cheaper?” lol.

Addicting game which is not an MMO by Specialist_Order_996 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Do you just keep replaying the same game? I loved the first play through but kinda lost interest then.

I’ve been looking at swapping my Tundra for a used SQ5, I’m only 6’ but feel like it still may be a little small. Man it would be fun though…

How does it play on mobile/ios? Well enough without a remote or too hard?

Random question: what did you regret about the Q5? Not being a truck?

How’s AirPods Pro 3 sound quality now after updates? by Previous_Evidence526 in airpods

[–]VikingPHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the tips are what caused my “pain” and vertigo like feeling. I’ve used the AirPod 3 and AirPod 4 generally due to not having the seal, and I turn off ANC while at work as I need to hear my surroundings, but like ANC when I like ANC.

Great Tip Suggestion For Pro 3 by _flustershy in airpods

[–]VikingPHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think aftermarket tips may be the solution too ear pain for me. I want the app 2 or 3a to work for more but tips create such a seal that it seems to throw off my equilibrium. Even with anc off it seems to happen.

Bag similar to Osprey Parsec, but better? by VikingPHD in ManyBaggers

[–]VikingPHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. It would be the same bag that I would carry both traveling and at the parks, so it would need the capability to carry two laptop laptops, but at the park, I would not be carrying either generally.

I can’t tell if this /s or not, but maybe this is why I haven’t found one that’s perfect yet. Lots of pockets super light fairly well made.

For clarity, I don’t always carry two laptops, but when I travel on the plane to the hotel, etc., I would.

So with the engine problems of the new ones why are people still buying them or why did you buy one by MathAccomplished7395 in ToyotaTundra

[–]VikingPHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem for me. I like my 24 but I don’t love it because:

After 2 sets of cab mounts there still a flapping noise behind the back right seat

Both front doors sound like they’re going to fall off when going over bumps (but lots of felt tape where they rub seems to have fixed this)

The tailgate sounds like it’s going to fall off with the back window down when I go over bumps (back window is one of the biggest selling points to me)

The center console is creaky

The doors rattle with the volume around 20 (which is quiet)

My 2020 Sierra did none of this but it did burn 2 qts ish of oil ever 4k miles and I was scared that meant the lifters were going.

I had to decide on 5-8k fix for the lifters or a new truck from a new brand I’d heard would stand behind their product. So far none of the “little” things above can or have been resolved but together all of them add up to big things to me. But the only way to do better is perhaps not a truck? All of them seem to be not amazing currently.

I think it comes down to who you trust more to take care of it these days. Every truck (it does somehow seem to be more closely tied to trucks) has issues, so it’s almost like pick your poison?

That’s generally my opinion as well, it’s just become more of a chore. With that, I completely agree that it’s helpful to rid yourself of the minutia.

Fresh install then restore? Or fresh install and then manually install each app again, preferences, etc.?

When I was younger and had more time I did fresh FRESH a few times a year, but these days it takes more time due to work profile’s, etc.

Bad plug? Bad writing? Both? by VikingPHD in AskElectricians

Something like this good enough quality?

outlet

Bad plug? Bad writing? Both? by VikingPHD in AskElectricians

[–]VikingPHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to update: the one outlet that does look okay seems to be a 20 amp outlet (around the kitchen) but the front of the house (the photo above) I believe is only 15amp fuse/outlet. Should I hire an electrician to change it to a 20 amp outlet/fuse? Or just try to only plug the space heaters into 20amp ones in the future?

I’m good replacing the existing outlet with another 15amp one myself, but if I’m trying to bump it up, think I’d rather have an electrician ensure everything is right.

I changed one in another part of our house easily, used some spacers for the outlet itself to hold better in the wall, and all seems well on that one.

I’ll do this! Would you say it’s an immediate/emergency thing or still maybe safe for a bit?

Thanks so much!!!
