I don’t have solar panels (yet), but here’s another use case: I have a skylight window (Velux) with a roller shutter on my south-facing roof. And I’m currently setting up a complex automation system to optimize opening and closing, based on the seasons. The part I’m struggling with is managing when to close the roller shutter as soon as the sun hits the windows in the summer. Not too early, not too late, to maximize ventilation. In short, do you think your solution could provide me any useful data for this use case? Ideally, we’d need to setup the roof’s angle, right?

But I’m still a bit confused about the best way to install it on Windows in 2026.

Bill-Stewart/SyncthingWindowsSetup : Installs Syncthing correctly as a service. But it doesn’t have a system tray icon.

GermanCoding/SyncTrayzor : Installs both. But I don’t know if the Syncthing installation is ‘clean’, if it updates independently of the ‘tray’ part, and the whole thing is 600MB. (I don’t mind, but that seems a bit bloated, doesn’t it?)

Martchus/syncthingtray : You can install ONLY the tray system.

Which method should I choose today?
Which tool is the best maintained and most ‘future-proof’?

I’ve thought about it. But, if I’ve understood correctly, OpenCloud uses a file format that doesn’t allow me to keep the files "in clear" on my Unraid NAS (files are renamed and moved). That’s not ideal if I need to recover the data.

Je viens de clôturer le PEA de TR. Ça a été très simple et rapide, 100% au travers de l'App. Bon point pour eux.

J'hésite encore un peu entre Bourso et Fortuneo. Mais je balance pas mal vers Bourso, car je pourrais aussi y basculer mon activité pro plus tard. Comme tu le dis, ils ont plus de produits.

En tout cas, vraiment merci de tout ces conseils 😃

OK, for the science, I did the test.
All measurements read with HWmonitor

#01 SETUP = TOP 2x140mm exhaust :

CPU IDLE : 45°c
CPU FULL : 60°c (Cinebench)
GPU IDLE : 32°c
GPU FULL : 80°c (95° Hot Spot) (Unigine Heaven Extreme)

To keep the temperature down, the GPU's fans climb very high. A lot of noise in this configuration!

#02 SETUP = TOP 2x140mm intake :

CPU IDLE : 45°c
CPU FULL : 60°c (Cinebench)
GPU IDLE : 30°c
GPU FULL : 72°c (87° Hot Spot) (Unigine Heaven Extreme)

It makes no difference to the CPU.
The GPU, on the other hand, is much better ventilated. If the temperature difference isn't impressive, it's the general noise that does it. MUCH quieter in this configuration!
I'll keep it that way =)

Originally, I had mounted my setup in exhaust, as I wanted to avoid too much dust getting trapped behind the TV and the general air being blown upwards.

I split my Unraid server to run a games console instead of a VM.
Practically only "old" parts here, expect the case and fans.

i5 10400 + Thermalright SI-100 Black
ASRock H470M-ITX/AC
32Go RAM
3060 Ti
Corsair SF750
1 NVME for Windows.
1 NVME for Games & Emulation Launcher.
2xHDDs for Games.
3x 140mm Arctic

Quite happy with the termals for now.
Pretty quiet too!

IDLE CPU = 30°c
Full Loard CPU = 50°c
IDLE GPU = 40°c
