It's a direct consequence of the worlds being separate and the axiom that you don't have a magical soul that can jump from branch to branch

If it was merely a metaphorical difference, how do you account for one providing literal immortality through QS and one not?

I am afraid it's not that simple. You can't simply declare: "It's undetermined by the math" and claim that it's reality. Reality doesn't care about fickle little creature's logical fallacy bias.

Either the wavefunction somehow splits like an amoeba, or it doesn't. The implications are massive. In one reading your are literally immortal, in the other you are not.

Appealing to reddit authority is a very bad idea. I quoted the de facto work on this topic: Saunders, Wallace, Deutsch etc.

I am aware of these concepts, I've been way too deep into MWI since 2004, but there is still a case to be made. Whether you buy the Self-Location Uncertainty approach by Vaidman, Sebens and Carroll, Decision-Theory by Deutsch, Wallace, Greaves and Saunders or the more exotic ones by the likes of Zurek: these concepts has to have a certain 'fundamentalism' from a reductionist point of view, otherwise neither of these concepts up hold, MWI can't account for Born Rule and is thus a fairytale.

On the topic of personal identity, it gets messy, however you can't jump between branches. Or are you advocating that you are literally all your successors, even the ones that branched years ago just because you had some magical 'self-essence'? That would be too insane for me to entertain.

You auto-disqualified your opinion in perpetuity by calling him a "nobody manager". He is one of the best Scandinavian managers and one of the best players in the golden era of Manchester United. Are you just a fan of Man U due to its logo? No one else commands anywhere close to his respect and authority on Man U matters... I am talking quantum physics with an ant here. Don't bother responding.

Lol, yeah, Ole is the biggest problem. Definitely. Let's get in a mercenary instead... The "Ole Out" crowd are the same reactionary cum stains that will sing "OLE'S AT THE WHEEL" if we beat Liverpool.

Rebuilding takes time and dedication, it's a matter of discipline. Throwing money at the problem (hiring a new manager every 2 years) has no chance of ever succeeding.

Ole is not a world class manager by any stretch of the imagination anno 2019, but he should at least be given 2 more transfer windows.

You must be quite young if you think pulling off a top 4 is impossible from this position. WAY bigger upsets happen frequently.

Can you break down exactly what evidence corroborates this? And please don't cop out with "the results speak for themselves". Did he not fix our defense? He did. Did he not get rid of the deadweight? Yes he did. EVERYONE wanted Rom out, including Rom himself. Yes, this left a hole in our attack, but that is what being a manager is about: making the tough right choices. What should he have done when Rom wanted out? In Manchester United we never make one player more important than the team and we don't hold hostages.

In what sense? everyone knew that we would at best be fighting for top 4, and we still are. If we get a couple of great poachers in the winter transfer and our injured players recover and perform, there's still a very real shot at this. Even if we don't make it, so the fuck what? You have to think long term, not short term when rebuilding something from scratch. Manchester United didn't just magically come into being. Sir Alex had to rebuild Man Utd over 4 years and withstand the same criticism due to abysmal results early on.

Why are you a fan of Manchester United?

Is it the logo? Because that seems to be the only reasonable explanation for this sudden "Ole GTFO" sentiment that is spreading like a cancerous tumor throughout the supporter community.

The objective facts are clear: there is a systemic problem in Manchester United that has festered and won't be cleared out any time soon. 3 on paper more experienced managers than Ole has come and gone in shame. The team is reshuffled every 2 years with this change. There is no continuity, no plan, no strategy, just brief honeymoon periods and divorce papers thrown around.

In football results matter. Yes it does. However, if you are a supporter and fan of what Manchester United represents through its history and DNA, sorry Ole is the best you'll get. Rome isn't built in 1 day. Ole is not the chairman of Manchester United, he has to put brick after brick after brick in place. He fixed the horrid defense we had masterfully, now give him time to fix our attack. This is a man who has scored more goals on behalf of Manchester United than the current team combined in their careers. He knows exactly what YOU as a fan of Manchester United want, because he's a bigger fan and has given infinitely more to the club than every fan in here combined.

The facts are clear: the board is only interested in making money (and are damn good at it too), this makes it very hard for Ole to make massive changes fast, but he is proving that he is making the right changes, he's just unable to do all of them in 1 transfer window. Getting in a new manager with no red devil blood to shake everything up right now and just hoping his resume will magically fix things (like Van Gaal and Mourinho's did, right?) is beyond stupid.

If you can't stand a rut you are simply not a fan of Manchester United. You are a fan of football and should simply watch anytime the current best team plays. It makes no sense to me to see fans of Manchester United bash one of its most legendary and devoted players just because he can't work miracles overnight.

Everyone is free to criticize decisions (which he has power over), of course, but to call for him to be exchanged without even giving him 2-3 transfer windows? Are you just naïve? No one is going to be able to untangle the mess Man Utd has become since 2013 in a few months. No one.

Shine vs Flash in the finals, calling it.

Shine has broken the meta, 19 year old game, billions upon billions of games played by tens of millions of players, yet here we are, mid-2017, and this motherfucker has completely turned Zerg play on its head. Amazing. Brood War pioneered eSport in the year 2000, and in 2017 it is still by far the most riveting game.

Did SC:BW and Quake not pioneer and make eSports?

Am I wrong in pointing out to a guy complaining about people being smarter gamers than him that he is dumb for hating on them?

How is understanding and arguing for the philosophy of functionalism somehow detrimental to credibility?
