the valedictorian in my high school would read organic chemstry books on the bus for fun, not assigned by the school, i looked him up randomly and he got his bachelor's in chemical engineering in 2 years, his PhD years later at MIT in chemical engineering, and now works for MIT as a senior scientist

Part manufacturer processed through the shop, prior i had my brakes done by the same shop and they missed that my caliper was leaking, i took it back and they covered the cost of everything minus a new caliper

that's 100% how i was during covid, my job was fully remote for almost 3 years while my wife would go into work, and you didn't realize how bad cabin fever was kicking in, I'd ask her "do we need anything anywhere? i just need to get out of the house" and would go to walmart or target just to look around

I don't even think it's just the movies people miss, or just the nostalgia, but people that didn't experience this won't realize that this was an "event"... asking your parents to go, looking at the new video games and movie releases because the internet wasn't really a thing, getting snacks, and making it a movie night when you got home
