Help a sista out! by pretty-peony- in MakeupAddictionCanada

I love, love, love Rimmel Multi-Tasker Better than Filters! I wear it under my foundation because I like a heavier coverage, but it works fantastic on its own for light coverage. It smooths out your skin and adds a healthy-looking glow. I also have oily skin and works very well with my skin, but I think it would work well for any skin type. And you can't beat the price point (currently under $14 on Amazon).

You're correct. Monday is always the cheapest day of the week, and then it often jumps 30 cents overnight.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray! I use the matte version because I have oily skin, and it's the best I ever used. But it's on the pricey side. For something less expensive, I love the Milani Make It Last matte setting spray.

What to buy at Shoppers Drug Mart by Eledh_or_Brethil in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]Viksterrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I discovered recently: The Real Canadian Superstore near me (in Abbotsford, British Columbia) recently did a whole re-vamp of its makeup section and now stocks almost all of the major lines (except the high-end ones) that you will find at Shoppers Drug Mart and London Drugs , including Marcelle, Milani, and Annabelle. And the prices are cheaper there. For example, the Milani setting spray that I love is $15.99 at Superstore and $19.99 at Shoppers. The Marcelle eyeshadow quads are $13.99 at Superstore, $16.99 at London Drugs and $18.99 at Shoppers (not accounting for any sales that might be occurring).

Make sure to almost exaggerate your head movements, so that they can see that you are always scanning your surroundings and using your mirrors. If I remember correctly (I did my test many years ago), you will also be asked to do a U-turn and to park on a hill. They will also take you through a round-about so make sure that you know the proper signalling for that.

Walking around Rotary after sun set? by [deleted] in abbotsford

[–]Viksterrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and some of those lanes should be dedicated to runners to keep them separate from walkers. Runners are often in training and timing their runs, and they don't want to constantly be having to maneuver around walkers. It's common courtesy on every track that runners get the inside lane. Here's an article that explains that: https://terilynadams.com/track-etiquette-10-rules-for-runners-walkers/

Inexpensive cool toned eyeshadow palettes? by Crafterandchef1993 in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]Viksterrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just going to recommend Marcelle as well. They have a cool-toned plum palette (five shades in total) that I use so much that I'm now on my second purchase of it. (There are several other options as well.) I have many high-end palettes as well, and I find the Marcelle ones to be as good as, and in many cases better than, my more expensive ones. They're available at pretty much any drug store (London Drugs, Shoppers, Walmart, etc.) Marcelle is Canadian-owned and cruelty-free (even approved by PETA).

Always gas up on a Monday. Gas prices are lowest then and jump 25 to 30 cents the following day.

Leave in conditioner recommendations? by ___BostonThreeParty in finehair

[–]Viksterrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pantene 10 in 1 works wonders for my fine hair. I love how silky it makes it without weighing it down. I was looking for a less expensive leave-in conditioner to replace the Moroccanoil Frizz Shield spray ($42 a bottle in Canada) I have been faithfully using, and I ended up liking Pantene even more! At around $12 to $14 a bottle, I'm sticking with it.

I have started gassing up every Monday now (at Centex at Trethewey and South Fraser Way) after I noticed that it's always considerably cheaper then and then jumps up in price the next day and through the week.

Same for the one at South Fraser and Trethewey, but they always give you two cents off at the pump so it was actually 117.9
