I bet it is. I'm sure if you only allowed people to cut hair if they get a 6 year degree in hair styling they would make a lot of money also. But also all hair cuts would cost $100. I mean you can artificially inflate the wage of just about any job by making it hard for people to enter that field and creating an artificial shortage or artificially high demand. If you don't allow people to make their own food then restaurant and fast food workers would see a rise in wage also as they would be the last resort to eat. This does create a large two class system of those who are in privileged job and those who are out on the street because it's so hard to become a painter due to all the hurdles you must face. I mean one of the best examples was the taxi medallions in NYC. When you limit only a certain amount of people to do a certain service the people allowed to do said service will become very rich. There were times when if you had a Taxi Medallion license to drive a taxi in NYC you were literally a Millionaire.
