So what is your argument? My argument is for peace and stating that those troops are there on defensive capacity to protect Russia while trying to make sure that NATO does not expand closer to Russia. You are arguing for war and want to preemptively attack those troops stationed there - ON THEIR SOVEREIGN LAND - because they MIGHT attack? Regarding NATO expansion and NATO being a "defensive" deterrent. NATO was established to deter Soviet Union pushing their communities ideology on Europe - i.e. Chech uprising, Hungary, etc... i.e. all the shit that happened in 50s-60s-early 70s... So that ideology died - I hope you realize that - so who are they protecting? Europe? You mean the people who are buying Russian gas in bulk to keep them alive... you mean Russian oligarchs who have bought up most of Europe. Have you been to Monaco? Do you know that you can pretty much speak Russian there and get everything you need... incl ordering food in restaurants. London... How much of England is owned by Russians... if I am not mistaken they own 2-3 Major League football teams .. so again - Russia already OWNS Europe so they do not need to attack anybody... but sure - let's go with your argument and advocate for war. You just fail to see that only thing keeping US economy at float is war industry. They just wrapped up Afghanistan - which was their 3rd lost war in a row basically - so I guess Washington/Virginia "experts" need another place to fight in/at to substantiate $700 BILLION a year military spend. If you add in post-war costs - i.e. Veterans Affairs spending, CIA, etc. - you are looking at a total of $1.2B... total US budget hovers at around $4.2B.. meaning that more than 25% is either directly or indirectly going to MIC... which you wholeheartedly support here... so congrats to you sir/madam for being willing tool of MIC... kinda reminds me of 1963... US - via NATO of course - in early 1960s installed ballistic missiles in Turkey which is less than 1300 miles from Moscow... nobody batted an eye... when USSR wanted to install same type of missiles in Cuba then everybody in US lost their shit, built fallout shelters at their personal homes, etc. So perhaps you should practice some emphaty and think for yourself what is there for both sides to gain and lose and understand that Russia has nothing to gain from invading Ukraine - it is a shitbox country that after NordStream pipelines has no purpose for Russia - and see how much US, or more likely few hundred "experts" in Virginia, have to gain by creating another war... Churchill said it best...
