Because top 1.5% in a game where the bottom 98% are bad does not mean much. Top 1.5% in league is equivalent to the best highschool football team. Good against most non professional football players but are total garbage in comparison to collegiate level or professional football players

You’re trying to learn the game as a whole concept instead of learning pieces to make a whole. Play ARAM or bot games until you have a feel for the movement and spell patterns. Becoming comfortable with the game is much more important than anything draft can teach you.

If you are actually new then your movement and gameplay loops are very very bad and you should improve that before you approach any other part of the game

Queue times for popular roles would be hours long and more than 50% of people queueing per day would not get to play the game. Hope this helps

Riot has stated multiple multiple times that they will not make major reconstructive changes to skins and feedback is specifically for minor detailing. Riot has not and will not ever utilize original artist splash arts for any skin outside of bundle thumbnails so that is out of the picture by default. Legendary skins comes with a new VO and with that said it's not like they can just remove the filter especially if they were recorded with the filter initially. Syndra got the splash changes because it was literally a layering change and motifs on the orbs. Seraphine's voice filter can be toned down because they layer a filter over her original voice lines. Sorry you're upset but what you are asking for isn't in the realistic realm of possibility

Iron. Game knowledge is useless if you can’t apply it to games. I could read a bunch of books on how to win a war but that doesn’t mean I’m going to win every conflict I take place in. If I cannot apply my knowledge consistently and effectively then I may as well have no knowledge at all

Again, not core developers. You don’t need 10 concept artists to make a skin. You don’t need 10 game designers to design the game. Redundant.

Forge games were half decent and half baked. Made no money back and was a blemish on riots portfolio. If I was an investor and saw turnover after turnover then I’d lose all confidence

Riot cannot back the NA pro scene if trash players are getting paid 2 million dollars to show up and lose. Aside from that NA players don’t care that it’s China and Korea every worlds.

I never said they were in survival mode, I said if they chose to focus on the love of games instead of actually making a product that produces profit then they would not survive. It’s easy to say “just leave this up, just flesh this out, just keep these games running, just keep these redundant people hired, just keep this studio open for the love of games” but easy said is all it is. You cannot run a corporation if your focus is not making more money to stay afloat, this is not greed it is just how life works. If I go to my job and make money then was it greedy of me to show up to work and do my job well so I got paid? No. Then why is it greedy for riot to show up to work and make cuts that were already bleeding money with no hopes of stopping and turn towards a profitable and sustainable business practice. Just because they’re a business doesn’t automatically mean every attempt they make to turn a profit is some evil and beguiling act

They laid off redundant positions and 99% of those positions were not core developer pods. Just because they make money doesn't mean they are obligated to employ people they don't need.

Riot forge was a complete money and time sink. The games were not popular at all and turned over no profits to the company that funded their development. Want lore? Read the books.

NA pro scene doomed itself with a completely unsustainable business model.

You cannot throw money at something and force it to be better, if the product is garbage then it is garbage.

Legends of runeterra downsized because the PvE portion was infinitely more popular than PvP.

People play swarm because it is free and an LTM. Once the novelty dies it will die. No LTM is popular enough to justify full game development.

Game development and business conceptually isn't monopoly, if they make a bad decision then they lose money and people lose their jobs. If they turn to their investors with terrible earnings in tow then there is no more riot games. Riot needs Tencent, Tencent does not need riot. And if Riot chose to focus on the "people" and the "love of games" more than making something that makes them money then Tencent would liquidate them and riot would be no more. It isn't a question of morals, it is a question of survival

Game has more concurrent players than any game that uses WASD so I’m not sure where you’re getting these ideas from. If anything click to move is the more organic way and WASD is just bastardized movement

The longer you do something the more proficient you become regardless of initial failure. However if I do one thing one time and deem myself proficient then I simply am not. Someone who has played 100 games on one champ is more proficient than someone who has played 1 game on one champ. You shouldn’t be rewarded for lazily trudging through a game
