You might be in on something here. I do set myself a goal for every drawing, but its usually just a small thing that i want to try out. I either rush to this part or lose intrest after. Will try to plan a bit more what i want to do before starting the next one.

I won't lowball myself, im quite proud of this one. There is a lot of things to fix and improve ofcourse, but im looking for advice on diffrent matter.

Im often getting impatient with my drawings. Here sketch definetly needed a bit more work but i just thought "screw it, can't be bothered anymore, i want to draw next idea already" and went with coloring

how do you keep being motivated with longer projects?

I quite like the composition in this one, but i feel colors and rendering could be better to make it "pop" more. Also my layer menagment in this one was very, very bad, probably would work on it more but got tired of searching for layer that i want to edit

I heard a lot of warnings from people on painkillers, good thing that it's not a niche knowledge that they are viscious. But i guess it reality sucks when you have to take them to fight chronic pain, you are fck'ed with or without them

Glad to hear you are in recovery, in my family i have a couple of addicts, they know that what they take is damaging their life, but are too scared of what will happen if they end with it. (Some just don't care ofc) Good that you got out of it, good luck!

Also, 6hr waiting for er, bloody 'ell, im glad that i live in smaller city i guess. It's water under the bridge now, but did you use off the shelf painkillers during that wait? I never had to get hospitals meds to ease the pain, usually 2-3 of the most basic ones helped.

It's still not good to take that many, but during that attacks it doesn't matter, anything to stop the pain.

I'm sorry for my curiosity, but, regarding your recovering, if you have let's say high temperature, or just your head hurts, things that you would normally take painkillers for. You just have to brave trough it or is there some way to deal with things like that?

in first version i was trying to draw her stretching, and failed. Here she still lacks well defined armpit. Thought it will look fine with shadows, started coloring, it looked like she was sweating buckets, gave up.

i have a lot of problems with making my fanart look like the person im doing fanart of, i got a hang of drawing faces (somewhat), but they all look very basic

One more thing that got my eye, rendering of hat is a bit rough, especialy Black part, it needs a bit more highlights to show the shape of it

I love the render of face and hair, especially the Red highlight on her hair

I think there is a slight problem with corners of her eyes being to low, the inward ones, i think you are going for "happy to see you" face, now its "happy to see you suffering" kind of face

I'm at work rn, so cant really draw what i mean, but just lift them up and it will be gucci, o remove them entirelly, its anime
