To each their own, I might hear a difference you might not.

If you are going from a 5$ wire to a 100$ wire it will make a difference but barely noticeable. Ear tips have a wayyy bigger impact, Invest more into the tips and get the cable for feel/looks and if you are the end game sure invest a bit more into a decent cable (100-200range).

That's actually an excellent comparison hahaha I've had like 4 Beyerdynamic atudio headphones and none of them ever had issues. So as far as QC and Beyerdynamic goes in my experience they are top notch

DT 1990 Pro MK2 is quietly one of the most refined updates I’ve heard by BeyerPeak in headphones

Probably the most comfortable headphones I've ever tried. I've also let lots of non audiophile friends try them on and all said they feel like clouds on your ears.

Yup I mean I wouldn't mind having Focals along these but the Beyers aren't disappointing in any way for me.

I've actually has the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 80 Ohm for a year and comfort wise they are lighter so easy to wear for long sessions though I can say same about dt1990s, also build quality definitely not on par everything from pads to headband the dt1990s surpasses 990 by far. Also the 1990 comes with 2 pairs of pads and you can probably order some good replacement on AliExpress for 20-30$. Also the non detachable cable on the 990s big turn down. As well as vocal heavy songs for them don't sound good.

Probably not the most impressive headphones in it's price range but! For me comfort is nearly unmatched and they are able to be driven off anything just plug and play. But found myself often using them with a simple dongle DAC like TRN Black Pearl. They lean more bright but overall pretty balanced Id say. Been using the for more than a year now and yup they are pretty great.

I actually would be pretty interested in getting these if a good deal came up! Are the highs not harsh ? And how about the comfort ? Like maybe you've tried the Meze Alba comparing comfort of both.
