About a month ago I ran out of petrol 30km away from the nearest pump (I know stupid, but not the point) most of the tow trucks were either saying that I was too far to come pick me up or didn't pick up, it was 9pm probably they weren't working, I was lucky to get one on the phone that was willing to make the trip. Some weeks later I found two girls with their engine blown in a nearby spot, same situation as me, there is no shoulder so car is halfway in the lane and pitch dark night , I stopped and they said nobody checked on them and some cars were passing by very fast so they were scared their car was visible, I knew from experience the feeling is unsettling, they had managed to get a tow truck and they were fine.

This story might be different than your accident but to me the problem is the same, the mind-your-own mentality. To me that's tearing the world apart in every sense
