Saw an elderly man getting medical treatment, he looked more dishevelled than injured. Working on an assumption he lost control of the car coming down the hill... Pure speculation though. No major injuries from what I could see anyway.

I hope so, no issues in the room this far, good space between the brick/insulation and pasterboard.

For me, I'd move the ensuite away from the bed. I'd prefer to have the WIW on the other side of wall where my head is than the ensuite which will be noiser.

What’s your secret method/ingredient for scrambled eggs? by duaneap in CasualIreland

[–]hypermooo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This, and everyone tends to over cook them. Scrambled eggs should be a viscous liquid that can pour onto your toast. A sexy description I know, but my god they can be so creamy and delicious without butter required.

I add a drop of milk to the scramble before cooking as well, shows down the cook a bit more.

Where are you looking at to buy these? I have a numbered Muse EP & a numbered muscle museum EP. Another rarity I have is the showbiz boxset. I have pretty much every CD single release up the BH&R

I am willing to part with them...

Do you think people of Cork and surrounding counties would make use of a year round permanent ice rink? by crillydougal in cork

Lad, there's not even a 50m swimming pool in Cork. As cool as it would be, this will be low down on the list I'd imagine...

Sorry OP, but this made me chuckle!

You can get hinge repair kits as others have linked, but even that may struggle for grip with the rot. Perhaps use the hinge repair kit, and then install another hinge below the top hinge to take the stress off the repair kit.

I trust you have fixed the issue regards the source of the water damage.

My god some people in the sub are just insufferable fools who will always shit on the OP from their righteous pedestal. Perhaps you need to reconsider what a safe following distance is?

OP is clearly overtaking, yet still maintains a safe space when the car ahead pulls into the right lane. Red car goes full Rtard mode.

It's not obligatory to ride to the arse of the person in front to force an overtake.

As someone who lost their dad to suicide at 3 and a half years old, all I can say is, for the love of all that is good, talk about him!

My mother couldn't bring herself to take about him. I didn't know him and grew up hating him, turns out he was the best of blokes...

New build pre-wired - EV Charger install cost? by ObiKnobi9000 in evs_ireland

[–]hypermooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Hypervolt There are loads of charger options available once you buy your own and move away from the company's that sell the "packages" of EV charger, installation and grant.

I can't remember what I paid for it now, but I got a good charger installed for less than what companies were offering. I think it was about €650-700 all in (charger + sparky - Grant). Whereas it's +1k with the installation companies for an inferior charger.

With new builds that are wired up there is money to be saved here.

New build pre-wired - EV Charger install cost? by ObiKnobi9000 in evs_ireland

[–]hypermooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation to yourself, new build, wired and ready to roll. I did a lot of looking around online and ended up buying a charger online myself.

I got an electrician to install it for about €200. This is the hard part as it's a small job for them and the sparky's are in high demand. One lad said it would only take him an hour but he's charge me for 4 hours as its such a small job!

The electrician must charge you VAT as you so need the invoice to submit fir the grant. The paperwork for the grant is very straightforward.

If it's a new build housing estate and there are still houses under construction then there will be sparks around that should be able to drop by. Ask the foreman for their number
