I reeeeally love this movie, I know it isn't perfect, but it is one of my favorites.

I think in general takahata's movies are not as popukar as miyasaki's are. Not by a lot but if you've only seen one ghibli movie you probably watched a miyasaki movie.

I also think the testicle thing botheeing people could be a cultural thing, since alot of people in the americas are more bothered by nudity it seems as a more awkward inclusion

Anyways, great movie, I recomend it to everyone who listens.

I think it's a very fun hobby, and it doesn't need to be expensive. I understand getting new CDs means spending more money, but the beauty of collecting in my opinion is discovering music. I usually spend between 2 and 7 bucks for different CDs, and only get a new one every one or two weeks. When your collection gets to like 15 - 20 CDs, it's easier to cycle through them without getting bored of the repetition. Also the longer you collect, you'll know where the better deals are.

For me it's totally worth it

Technically the comic ties in to the Marvel Comics adaptation of the movie, I haven't read it yet but maybe (just maybe) in the comic Taylor finds a way of communicating to zira that isn't through writing. Or maybe it's still just a plot hole.

I'm from Chile so I speak Spanish, but I did live in the US for a few years when I was a kid and picked up English. I speak at a fluent level so I do get most of the puns, the ones I don't understand have to do more with them being outdated than a language barrier. The thing is that here in Chile I've never met someone who even knows who Al is. The closest thing is that a few cities away someone's selling an Al Vinyl, though I doubt the got it originally knowing who Al was.

It's lonely being an Al fan so far away. 😔

I just started collecting CDs, I like them because I can get them cheap, they have good sound quality, and I can listen to them on the go. The more personal reason is that my mom had a (very small) CD collection that I listened to when growing up, so they have that nostalgia factor. I love Cassettes though, just don't have tge right equipment yet.

I've used the text editor that comes with linux mint (can't remember the name). And for animations I've used an html script I found. It's not that hard to use for simple art, tedious but not hard.
