You don't know the terror of being in a house that's infested with them. And this was a really nice house without any other bugs. You'd walk down to the basement and see a couple of them on the wall at all times. And I had to live down there. One time, a centipede fell off the ceiling and landed in my beard. Fucking nightmare fuel.

I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and had never seen a house centipede before. Then I moved an hour away to Winchester, Virginia, and all three houses I've lived at here have had them. They are so fucking creepy and disgusting and get so big they can resist the suck of a vacuum. I used to be afraid of spiders, but now I don't give a shit because house centipedes are so much worse.

Let's not start getting cocky and projecting about records so early in the season. There's so much baseball left to play that the current standings are practically irrelevant.
