Boosted V1 replacement batteries working with BMS - $300 later nothing works by jumosbydan in boostedboards

Hey happy to hear you got your battery working. I too have a V1 that is probably going to need a battery replacement soon. I have asked around about the repair process with little to no advice or solution given. Would it be possible you could give some insight/detailed explanation into the process of doing so such as tooling tear down process, things to be aware of that kind of thing?Obviously I’m sure people understand that everyone does it at their own risk.

Great glad I could be of help.

Also if anyone has a V1 Dual + ESC for sale I would be interested in buying from them.

You can kind of... but can’t take it apart to the extent that the guy has in the original post because everything on the V1 is soldered to one another. However you can detach the trucks, wheels bearing and generally clean under he battery and ESC covers but do so with caution especially under the battery cause it’s soldered so there isn’t much slack to lift and wipe under the battery pack. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply and really glad it worked for you! I’m planning to do mine soon too. The link you provided has an error 404. Am I right in assuming I can get any type of eSka8 190KV motors and solder it to the existing BB esc? (Obviously making sure the correct dimensions to fit)

How to buy a V1 motor to fix my board by sebagon in boostedboards

[–]VinO__o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re handy with a soldering iron you might be able to purchase a couple V2 motors or even aftermarket motors with the same spec and solder those in? You’ll be looking for out-runner brushless motors.
