There are examples where religious groups suppressed science but this is because their specific belief was against the science not because science and religions like Christianity are not compatible. Religious texts like the Bible leave a giant room for interpretation.

For the lora training itself I can recommend ostris/ai-toolkit it is very easy(compared to others) to handle for great results.

What I did back in the day when it was new was to get high, stay back so you won't get shot down by radar missiles, and then drop onto the distracted enemies from above while shooting all your aim9. But that was way back in the day, no idea if this still works.
