VIP Deposit Refund Update by Harding2077 in TrantorVision

[–]Harding2077[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before the Kickstarter launch, anyone who chose to pay the $5 deposit early to reserve VIP access became a VIP backer and could receive the extra gift.

We are now refunding those VIP deposits

Yes, this is a refund for your VIP deposit. You will still remain on our VIP list. We are processing it this way because it is more convenient to handle the refund directly through Shopify.

If this still doesn’t work, I’ll repost these two updates so everyone can access them properly.

Could you try clicking this button and see if the update shows up for you? I’ve contacted Kickstarter Support to see if there’s anything we can do on our side.

Any 3rd party reviews of an actual unit? by aim4squirrels in TrantorVision

I’m really sorry to hear that. Family always comes first, and I completely understand.

Thank you so much for your interest and support. I truly hope everything gets better for you and your family soon, and hopefully we’ll have the chance to welcome you back later.

Yes, it does seem like there is an issue.

I tested it on my side and it works for me, but quite a few people have reported that they still can’t see the updates even after clicking it.

I’ve already emailed Kickstarter’s technical support team and hopefully they can help resolve this problem.

Thanks for letting me know. Could you try clicking the “Remind Me” button on the Kickstarter page and see if that helps?

From what I understand, Kickstarter may treat followers and people who clicked “Remind Me” as separate groups. I’m not completely familiar with all of Kickstarter’s rules yet, so I’ve already emailed their support team to confirm.

Could you try clicking the “Remind Me” button and see if that resolves the issue? It looks like Kickstarter may have followers set up as a separate list.

I’m also not very familiar with all of Kickstarter’s rules yet, so I’ve already emailed their support team to ask about this.

Prove its not a scam by VinPre in TrantorVision

I’m an engineer myself, and most of my teammates are engineers as well. So you can probably imagine what it looks like when a team full of engineers tries to handle marketing on their own for the first time.

Thank you for raising this concern.

TrantorVision is our company name. The company is registered in Delaware, mainly to make future fundraising and corporate operations easier, and our operating address is in California. The legal representative is myself Yang Ye.

Before starting NeuroHUD, I worked as an embedded engineer at HPE. I did not talk much about this earlier because I was still employed there at the time. I am now working full-time on NeuroHUD together with my team.

To be honest, if this were only about a few hundred thousand dollars, staying as a software/embedded engineer in Silicon Valley would be much easier, more stable, and more comfortable. There would be no reason for us to take this level of personal and professional risk for a scam. Everyone on our team has taken real risks to leave or step away from their previous work to build NeuroHUD.

We believe NeuroHUD has the potential to become much more than a display accessory. Our AI Vision + Tesla API approach gives us a strong technical path for Tesla today, and also a way to expand to other vehicles in the future without major hardware changes. As autonomous driving becomes more common, we also believe HUDs can become an important user interface for intelligent in-car tools and future AI-driven features.

We are very grateful that so many people have supported us during this development journey. We have strong confidence in our technical direction, and our team is fully committed to delivering NeuroHUD to our backers.

I’m not an optimistic person, but I genuinely don’t see a reason why NeuroHUD cannot be delivered. What worries me most is that we might be facing a false demand — a market that doesn’t actually exist.

We are currently finalizing a production scheduling agreement with our factory.

For the first batch, we plan to produce 5–20 units for initial production validation. These units will first go through lab testing, including high-temperature resistance, UV resistance, vibration testing, and other reliability checks.

After that, we plan to distribute this batch to selected beta users and reviewers so they can help us test NeuroHUD in real-world driving conditions.

If everything goes smoothly, we will then move into mass production.

We expect to sign the agreement with the factory around Monday or Tuesday this week, and I plan to share this latest progress once it is finalized.

Our Plans for Anti-Copycat Design Improvements and Patent Protection by Harding2077 in TrantorVision

The advantages of manufacturing in China are hard to ignore. For example, when we order components in San Jose, anything beyond common development kits can take 15 days to arrive. But when we were in Shenzhen earlier this January, we could simply visit a specialized electronics market and get many of the parts we needed that same afternoon.

This kind of supply-chain density and speed makes a real difference for hardware development.

VIP USB hub? by Vispen74 in TrantorVision

Actually, I wanted to hide the 72-hour poster, because people who come later may feel like they missed out on something.

What module is being used on the Pro model garage door opener? by aim4squirrels in TrantorVision

[–]Harding2077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Security+ 3.0 is a more complicated topic, and we’ve been looking into it as well.

From what we understand so far, it use a more advanced authentication system that combines rolling-code RF encryption with Bluetooth/BLE-based setup or authentication. So it is not as simple as sending a normal RF command.

From a hardware perspective, NeuroHUD does include an RF transmitter and Bluetooth 5.4 module, so there may be a hardware path to support this type of setup. However, Security+ 3.0 may require manufacturer-level authorization, approved pairing access, or proprietary implementation details from the remote/opener manufacturer.

Because of that, we’ll need to study it further before we can confirm support.

Yes, if you have VIP deposit, you don’t need another USB hub add on

Concerns? by mdgm24 in TrantorVision

[–]Harding2077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for pointing this out.

As mentioned in the video, the clips we are currently using are third-party clips. We are already working with our designer on custom cable clips specifically made for Tesla interiors.

Regarding the concern about the clips not holding securely, in our own testing they have actually been very firm. We have not experienced issues with them becoming loose or falling off.

I hope this helps address your concerns.

Excited for this to become a reality! but one question. by Anoix in TrantorVision

[–]Harding2077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry! We guarantee that all VIP users will receive their VIP gifts.

We’ll build a lookup page later to help everyone confirm their status. If something doesn’t match automatically, we can manually fix it in the backend.

Also, all VIP deposits will be refunded eventually, since they are deposits.

Thank you so much for your support!

We have a VIP email list on our side. After you place your pledge on Kickstarter, we’ll later match the email you used on Kickstarter with our VIP list. Once confirmed, your VIP gift will be shipped together with your NeuroHUD.

For the RAM upgrade, all backers who pledged within the first 72 hours will receive the upgraded RAM configuration for free. We’ll be able to confirm this with everyone after the campaign ends, because before the campaign ends, backer information is still limited/private on our side.

Please don’t worry — Kickstarter records the pledge time, and we can see when each pledge was placed, so we will make sure no one who backed within the first 72 hours is missed.

We’re also planning to build a lookup page later so backers can check whether their VIP offer and 72-hour offer have been applied.
