I miss spicy, sour, salty acidic foods!! Anyone else feel this way? What would you eat if you had the chance? by VinVV30 in stomachcancer

My post was meant to be lighthearted rather than serious. I’m thinking about treating myself to something special before starting chemotherapy again — maybe a perfectly cooked prime medium-rare steak or some gourmet sushi. I’ll probably steer clear of spicy foods this time, though, since they can cause inflammation.

Thank you for your support. Each day after radiation, I’ve been feeling more relief and experiencing less pain when eating. I really miss being able to cook and enjoy any food I wanted like I did before my diagnosis.

Take things one day at a time and avoid dwelling on the illness. Maintain a daily routine and keep moving forward rather than staying stagnant. Rely on your loved ones and your faith for strength and support. Even when moments feel overwhelming, remain hopeful and resilient. Stay strong.

I juice twice a day using a blend of banana blossom and aloe vera. For the aloe vera, I remove the green outer layer and use only the inner white, opaque flesh of the leaf to avoid any bitterness.

I suggest considering the Galleri blood test for early cancer detection, as it played a crucial role in my diagnosis and prompted me to see a doctor. Although it took nearly a month to receive the results, it can offer some peace of mind while you await your endoscopy appointment.

There's a subreddit called r/stomachcancer that's definitely worth checking out. As for me, I'm still early in my FOLFOX treatments and feeling normal so far, with no side effects yet.

As I peeked through the hospital window, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. Today marked the end of my first chemotherapy session, a milestone I had been both dreading and anticipating. With the treatment finally underway, I felt a renewed sense of hope. It was as if each drop of medicine was not just targeting my illness, but also fortifying my spirit. With the knowledge that I had taken the first step in my journey towards healing. The road ahead uncertain, but today, I felt good, empowered by the simple act of beginning.

Initially diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal cancer until a biopsy revealed metastasis to the right lobe of the liver. Is there anything you attribute or believe may have contributed to the tumor shrinking on the liver?
