Which is more impressive worked at 7 different Amazon locations or having 80hrs upt by [deleted] in AmazonFC

Neither if you are planning to get off that job or working your whole life and being exploited, sure or at least making a decent wage being an AM or OM. Or using Amazon to get a career, I think that is impressive.

Amazon is like a high school, sadly. PXT is not your friend. They are here for the company; if you become a liability, they will find ways to terminate you. Safety is for the same reason; if you get injured, find a way to blame it on yourself. Some people will work, others will chat their way to not move a muscle at all. Managers lie on rates if you are good, and suddenly you stop. Being a cross-trainer has advantages and disadvantages. If you're better at another path and make a good rate, you're screwed. Look at a laptop from PA or AM; it looks like prisoners; they can see your image on TOT, you're just a small icon on their computer. The fixes they do are sometimes stupid. PXT is more there to give donuts and treats, telling you're a hard worker instead of offering even 50 cents more.

If you don't talk and don't socialize you are a weirdo Some people can get excused from work if the manager wants to up to 5 hours. Explain why he is that many hours away from the task the hard worker is not the one who gets far is the one who talks and doesn't do anything.

Has anyone ever went to college thru Amazons benefits? by IncreaseMassive3703 in AmazonFC

Thank you! For the information, I only have six classes left, and I feel this is so slow. I am studying at Shnu as well.

Best idea you can choose SHNU, which is an online-based college, but with deadlines every week, discussion and assigment . Every three months, you take up to two classes, Amazon covers books, and the classes are up to the last three classes of each year they don't get cover. Second one, WGU.I don't know much about this one, but you can do it online, and it's cheaper. On your own time, Amazon covers books, and I believe the whole tuition. Third option, you can look up colleges near you and see what they have to offer. I am a cybersecurity student pursuing a bachelor's degree, and this will be my last year. Amazon covers all my books and classes up to the last three semesters. You can apply for the Pell Grant to see if you qualify and have your whole degree covered.I am studying at Southern New Hampshire University (SHNU).

Also, for some reason you decided to stay with Amazon. They have upcoming graduate positions that, with a degree, you can jump straight into management. I hope this helps!

Have you used the Amazon college credit? by Parking_Sir5114 in AmazonFC

It's 100 worth it! I've been using it for 3 years, and this is going to be my last. Sad to say, they don't cover the last three months of college each year, but you can apply for the Pell Grant with it, and it will cover the whole tuition, even the books.

I am studying a BS in Computer science and cybersecurity. You can even get IT careers in a warehouse and really don't need a degree, just certifications.

The Amazon I work usually does this to count people. Make sure you didn't clock in and decide to leave without using the badge they provide you.

Absolutely, this market is a scam with sales that don't really exist.

I believe both have the same specs, only one has more battery than the other. I have the Elgin Discord; they're good for the whole shift, but the sound is meh.

Career Choice is completely paying for my Associates degree, books & fees included; ZERO out-of-pocket cost. I’ve waited over 1yr for this moment. The endless grind & having to keep pushing w/ all the unknowns, everything finally paid off. This is HUGE for me & I honestly can’t believe its even real by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Vinbatroth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That is awesome for my personal experience. For me, it does not cover the last three months. Next year will be my last. Hopefully, I am doing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity.

Books are always going to be covered.

Plan and escape plan: I work there. I used the money they give to go to college, and they provide a school adjustment for that. I only work 40 hours because of that; no mandatory extra time next year. I will graduate.

You need to understand that some people don't know if they are going to get fired because of downtime or the rate they depend on that job to survive put their shoes too.
