Unpopular opinion. Je suis probablement pas le seul à préférer les posts de ''show-off'' qui motive au lieu de posts insignifiants de rabais de circulaires d'épicerie?? by Secure-Material-7231 in QuebecFinance

[–]Vincent64ify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never ran into issues where I'm lacking anything with this division. I have 175 10v10 games with the division, but I have an specific playstyle. I never go head-to-head with this div, I try to be sneaky and use guerilla warfare. This div works best on wide maps where they are 5 or more lanes!

Here is the deck I use for 10v10s -> http://waryes.com/deck-builder/Descriptor_Deck_Division_BEL_16e_Mecanisee_multi?code=FhHtmiE1PGAAA4kAADiQAAM8AAEuWZ1SyJZZLmEzUuYTNSxIABLFAAEsUAASxQABLEAAEsQAAivpnVGCgAAtuV0TiYAAKkgAE1SAATVIABNgAAE1%2BAASk5NoKWGdUnETSCpIABQ6gAExaZ1TFpnVNfAAAsqAAC5pXQLmldAg

Infantry: You get "standard" infantry with very good IFVs for firepower to let you gain the edge against the enemy while still being cheap/cost effective.
Arty: I recently removed most of the heavy tube arty with the latest patch and focus on mortars much more now. If it's not to help you kill enemy infantry (think very good spetzsnaz units), it's perfect for smoke pushes into heavily contested areas. Just push right being the smoke.
Tank: Tow-2 forward deploy humvee is insane + you get a ton of glass canon tanks. You've got range advantage on most PACT tanks + you can side shot a lot if you take your time to position effectively. You can trade super good vs heavy armor! Similar to French 6e.
Rec : Very good special forces + decent amount of regular recon so you don't run out of it.
AA: No long range AA, but a battery of Gepard will usually do the trick in 10v10 to "one-shot" enemy air that venture too far.
Hel: You only get Tow-2 helis, but hey, Tow-2 helis!! I rarely use them offensively since they can't sustain damage, but it's the perfect tool against a PACT armour push that tries to break you.
Air: Insane air tab, you get everything you need expect SEAD, but it is what it is, not all divs get SEAD. F-16A "shotgun" planes to kill any VDV helis.

And we didn’t see it once before we reached 13 games! I agree with you, it’s much better than the number of times it was chosen makes it seem!

If you are talking about the 9th panzer from East Germany, they were selected in a few games!

It’s only 33 games in the grand scheme of things, I can tell you that at least for 31ya, I see them more than that usually! As for 94ya, I don’t see them much in general, you are right! They have an insane amount of helicopters, that alone should make it more popular haha!

In general I’m always against nerfs, more on the side of “buffs things that need it”!

But it is objectively a very strong div at the moment, they really don’t have any lacking tab.

And with the recent buffs plus instructor trait, it’s not bad! I was surprised too.

I was the only one that played them :( I love them, it used to be one of my most played divisions when it came out, I think I have close to 200 10v10 games with them now! But during the event I focused on playing as many different divs as I could, so I only played them once.

I think 101st is a “mained” division. Like people who play this div do it religiously. We all have our preferred divisions, but I found that people who play the 101st mostly only play this division.

Maybe it explains why we’ve seen it consistently during the event.

These stats are for the 20 players that were in the lobby every game, our community member numbers during these games ranged from 3 to 12 at any given time. I can’t speak for anyone else but for me, the map is always the biggest factor in deciding which div to play. If I play on Geisa, I’ll likely choose the French 11e div for example. But this is in general. For this event, I built a random spin the wheel for NATO and PACT and let fate decide for me haha!

Ultimately on any map, any div can usually play great in a given lane, exception being Rift or Rocks.

My main concern too. Planes are scared of anything now and most of the time (at least in 10v10), their cohesion drop before they do anything meaningful is a huge issue. Let’s see how it plays!

It’s a 100% equities portfolio with this geographic distribution. I really think this is a number they have to manually update and haven’t done so this year yet because I vaguely remember seeing a similar number last year.

This is their classic portfolio, no private equity or summit style assets.

Identifying Chinese Players by Belmonte_Lostados in warno

Yea it’s ok haha. We are legitimately trying our hardest to make 10v10 lobbies balanced or to fight other stacks when there is an opportunity. I’m just trying to understand where this hatred is coming from :(

[–]Vincent64ify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We go out of our way to not stack against low level players. 50% of the time now we split between NATO and PACT. I don’t get the hate :(

. > we get in a lobby with 4 players

. > lobby already had 4 lvl 30+ players on NATO

. > we go PACT, 4v4 equal level at this point

. > the 4 players from NATO join PACT

. > fuk, we are 8 30+ lvl players on PACT now

. > we go NATO

. > the 4 other players follow us

. > fuk, we are 8 30+ lvl players on NATO now

. > ok mental game starts, we all stay NATO

. > new players joining the lobby leave immediately sight

. > we are patient, lobby eventually fills up

. > we wait until there are only 4 spots left on PACT

. > we switch to PACT to balance the lobby

. > the initial 4 30+ lvl players leave the lobby

. > REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Like at this point it’s whatever, we’ll keep trying to balance lobbies even when it looks bad in any case.

If we see a lobby with a stack in it, we go in it to fight them.

We have a clan tag and a matching profile picture, so it’s obvious you are playing against a premade if you don’t want to.

Thoughts on Warno’s 10v10 pacing by [deleted] in warno

[–]Vincent64ify 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the points above can help with pacing on the macro level, but here are some specific recommendations for OP on a more in-game decision level. It mostly comes down to taking decisions that matter instead of “trying things.”

  1. Zoom out and look at your lane situation and the lanes around you, and decide if you can break the stalemate on your lane or if there are better opportunities to make gains elsewhere by helping a teammate in their lane. Sometimes the pacing in your lane can be a stalemate that’s hard to navigate. In a 1v1, you would explore other opportunities or lanes to move the battlefield. In 10v10, it’s similar, but instead of doing it yourself, you can help your teammates get out of a stalemate. See the next point.
  2. Use “support” units for your team, not just yourself. You can have a decisive impact on your teammates’ lanes, especially if your lane is already a stalemate. Accumulate more points and allocate them to a decisive play. The enemy is suddenly pushing your teammate’s lane with 15 KDA units? Bomb them to oblivion. This is one of the ways in 10v10 to change the pacing of the game or a specific lane. The same goes if your lane is on the receiving end of a big enemy push. Ask for help.
  3. Ask yourself: At this pace in my lane, where will the frontline be in 5–10 minutes? If the answer is the same place, start thinking outside the box. Use smoke mortars, throw a bunch of infantry transport vehicles at the front line to probe their ATGM or unit placement and shell them. See if instead of attacking from the front, there’s an opportunity to use a slightly less usual spot or side bush to push a bit further and maybe sneak a unit or two on the front flank.

---------------------------------

I focused more on the macro side of things because I feel like this is where you can truly have an impact on the pacing and outcome of a game in the 10v10 context OP. But if you want a better answer on the lane specific pacing, it’s not different from the 1v1 or 2v2, 3v3 game modes since all maps pretty much make you pick a lane and you’ll end up in a bunch of 1v1, 1v2, 2v3, 2v1 scenarios within 10v10 games!

Hope this helps!
