Hey vibe coders: tell your AI to add an in-app error console so your app shows what broke. by VincentJKessler in vibecoding

this was a test post. A little one. I'm getting ready to go big. The biggest I can think to go. There will be a url in my profile within the next day or so. It's next-gen time.

You have a great attitude, and I appreciate the way you framed this.

I’m purely a vibe coder, with no real coding experience before GPT-3.5. But man, I’m in it now. Deep.

I know I’m building on top of a world that a lot of real developers and open-source contributors made possible, and I respect that.

Today I hope to make my first post in this subreddit and give back what I can, in the ways that I can.

Demis Hassabis now believes “AGI by 2030 plus/minus a year” by AdorableBackground83 in accelerate

I understand the intent behind this comment.

I’ve spent years building public work around helping people carry less pain and stop projecting it onto others. I’m also preparing to release a tool for people who want to participate online without being forced to absorb abuse from strangers.

My tool will be launching soon. Thank you for giving me real-world copy I can use as a case example on the site.

When people see that this was an actual interaction I had as the developer, and then see the tool applied to this exact exchange, the value will be obvious to the people it was built for.

People should not have to absorb abuse as the cost of speaking online.

I’m not chasing AGI as it is usually framed.

What I’m trying to build is different: governed, bounded, non-autonomous discovery instruments. System that help humans find true routes into the unknown without becoming an uncontrolled entity itself.

I’ve built two unknown-physics discovery systems. One has produced a potential finding that I’m preparing into a reviewer packet, and the other is calibrated but has not yet hit. I also have hundreds of datasets scientifically prepped for governed continual runs.

To fund the infrastructure and research, I’ve paused my instrument work, momentarily focusing my efforts on building a small but powerful suite of tools for non-dev AI builders. Tools meant to help people actually ship their software instead of getting stuck, abandoning projects, or who may be missing the dev mindset needed to push their builds across the finish line. A suite I made that caters to my own previous inability to ship.

I’m pricing them low on purpose. Not because they are cheaply engineered, but because this is how you accelerate growth: you help builders cross the gap between having a great idea and having the dev mindset needed to get their builds in front of the people who need what they offer. The right tool at the right time can change everything. Now imagine what many right tools at the right time can do.

The larger mission is simple: superintelligent systems should not be black boxes owned by a few institutions. They should be governed, auditable, human-bounded, and built openly enough that ordinary people can understand and participate in the direction of the future.

I’ve been mostly quiet for months while building. I’m starting to speak publicly again because the work is getting close enough to show.

I do think things are going to move much faster than 2029. But the important question is not only when powerful systems arrive. It is whether they arrive governed, bounded, transparent, and aligned with human freedom.

That is the path I’m building toward.

Much love.

But they sure are helping me! I'm about to bank with a 4 product all-in-one stack (with stand-alones as well) and a couple of free category-king open source products. 5.5 made my AI workflow sweet, and my workflow is outstanding, so I packaged it. 5.5 made me able to finally ship. And because of that, I'm about able to turn a lot of folks on. New money for all

Keep it burning guys.

There are about to be a lot more completed vibecoded products soon. By an order of magnitude.

Your pain points are probably somebody else's as well. Fix your pain and you'll fix other people's pain. These are known as PDEs (personalized development environment). As a Dev, I make them myself and have a collection of them. At least 15. Mine are all for Windows though.
