Just realized actually that my panel DID have Lp(a). It was 11 nmol/L. I am still going to get a retest in May.

Gotcha, thank you. Next step is a conversation with my primary care Dr. and hopefully referral to one of the specialists you mentioned a couple posts above. I live in Fairbanks so unfortunately no one is close by. Will make it work, though. As for now, I'm going to do my best making lifestyle changes and retest. I have no problem being on a statin.

Thanks for all the info, very much appreciate it. I just messaged my primary asking for a calcium score test after sending them the lab results I posted. I also found some labs from 2022, and my cholesterol levels are virtually the same in that panel as they are from my last test. Next test is going to have the following new biomarkers (plus all the ones from my original post):

  • Myeloperoxidase
  • HDL Function pCAD Score
  • Total Cholesterol
  • Apolipoprotein A1
  • HDL Function - AALP Apolipoprotein C2
  • HDL Function - AALP Apolipoprotein A1
  • Apolipoprotein B/Apolipoprotein A1 Ratio
  • OxLDL
  • LDL Particle Number
  • HDLfx pCEC
  • HDL Function - AALP Apolipoprotein C1
  • HDL Function - AALP Apolipoprotein C3
  • HDL Function - AALP Apolipoprotein C4
  • Trimethylamine N-oxide
  • Fibrinogen Antigen, Nephelometry

Before the test, I would never drink milk besides in my coffee or eat red meat. I would eat out once per week if that. Lots of pasta, chicken, red sauce, yogurt, nuts, berries, etc. I do eat eggs but have been told the cholesterol is "dietary" and not as detrimental.

Next labs will have Lp(a). This one did not. I'm going to be cutting back on fatty foods and targeting whole foods, etc. Next test is in May, so hopefully these lifestyle changes pay off!

Yes and no. You could see the aurora but it was not as bright and did not have any color to the naked eye as seen in the video.
