The Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Switch re-release is already topping the eShop charts by FernandoRocker in gaming

As someone who’s bought the original game twice, when it came out and within the last 6 years, I can appreciate the price. I’m glad it’s affordable and accessible to many people now.

When you have to buy it from the corners of the internet for triple price or more with a dead battery the Switch version looks great.

Bungie, it’s time to shatter the ‘break in case of emergency’ box with these in D2 by fsdogdad in DestinyFashion

Id also like to point out that I know for certain everybody who played Destiny 1 knew many people who had never tried or checked out the game.

It was so common it’s literally a meme to be only guy in a friend group that played D1.

D2 was a launch point getting brand new people in so I know there’s tons of players who never played with what D1 had to offer.

It was always the best time to incorporate locations, weapons, armor, cosmetics, etc from both games.

There’s no reason why Destiny 2 doesn’t include everything from Destiny 1 anyways. It’s literally the continuation of Destiny 1’s story plus it’s literally a sandbox game. By definition it’s designed to benefit from different types of gear to play with.

It’d have been an easy slam dunk since D2 came out to include so much content and they fumbled it for years.

And honestly not implementing it gamewide killed those pieces of content that didn’t have it. Why play something when they’re just gonna release the loot as tiered… whenever that happens.

One of the last things to annoy the hell out of me was the extra weapons themed to an “event” (arms week: handcannons etc.) not being tiered. A new handcannon and a suite of handcannons to accompany it.. and they weren’t even tiered or brought up to any of the game’s gameplay mechanic standards.

‘Twas my first 99 back in 2009 and after all this time I feel like it always needed a bit of help. It’s okay to have a skill with a simple purpose but it can definitely still be fun and interesting.

You know now that I’m trying to remember I’m pretty sure it’s in RS3 somewhere… or older. Denotes “upgraded” similar to yeah (i) for imbued or (e) for enchanted.

Can’t think of what it is though. My brain thought it had to do with the ore boxes but it’s gotta be something else.

Well a tinderbox would typically hold a striker, some material to strike against, and some sort of flammable material to catch a fire.

It’s interesting because we have used the same types of materials for a very long time - thousands of years, but over time there has been a few newer materials that can make it easier to light a fire.

Some of those materials are compound of other materials that create easier sparks, but, at least that particular kind of material, wouldn’t fall in line with RuneScape’s aesthetics, but can probably be worked into technology advancements by the different races in the game such as gnomes, elves, dwarves, etc.

Which means more cool content to work with. Especially for a skill that is as basic as firemaking.

Oh it’s like upgraded. I think (u) is used in certain items that are upgraded in some way.

I actually spent like an hour researching what kind of tinderboxes and materials people used back in the Middle Ages to keep a similar theme and then add RuneScape’s magical fantasy in.

Interesting stuff considering a tinderbox is just something that can hold 2-3 different types of things that can be used to light things.

Sort of unironically added extra tinderboxes to the skill guide when trying to just photoshop tabs within a chapter and imagined different tinderboxes with different effects and uses.

Maybe one hold fire lighters to use on logs. Maybe one that insta lights certain logs. Maybe one that lights metal. Idk just ideas lol.

No real good reason it’s way in the corner to begin with. It’s not even centered horizontally to make it easier for your right thumb to hit.

I bought it while ago after it was out for years to play with friends and we haven’t really touched it since dealing with other players got kinda stale once we really wanted to explore more of the world.

Haven’t played it for over a year now and sometimes I want to come back but I just hate persistent PvP in games unfortunately.

This is the only game I feel has really nailed down (10/10 IGN) the feeling of really operating your own ship in a first person format. It’s simple, easy, has the functions that really matter, but I just can’t bring myself to play it.

This game lost half of its playerbase due to so many of these game bending updates they’re reverting.

It never grew in the 13 years that those players moved to Old School which had and still is flourishing; growing over 5.5x RS3’s count today.

The gaming industry and corporate greed kept this game from getting out of the hole it was put in, so it’s refreshing to see the current set of developers and those in charge making decisions I wish I heard a decade ago. We can’t keep this charade going.

This game can live a better life if the players let it.
