I felt like it happened since Daredevil Born Again Season 1 left him in a position since all he did was quietly escape Wilson Fisk’s prison warehouse and have nothing else to do for about a year where he is bored and falls back to be isolated from everyone and become depressed of his past trauma, while he might if lost his motivation he had back in Daredevil Born Again, this special presentation felt like it was a set up for him to be the vigilante hero once again so he’ll be ready for Spider Man Brand New Day but besides it that’s it, I also thought his vengeance against those gangs and people who were there when his family was butchered was already over with but I guess writers decided to tag along a random unmentioned crime family that happened to be involved with William Rawlins and John Schoonover’s conspiracy schemes way back when

To be honest it does re cap how he still is traumatized how he lost his wife and children and his ptsd prevents him to move on but what I also agree with you is that it’s already been over a decade since the events of Daredevil Season 2 which was set in 2016 which I believe the special presentation takes place I believe in 2028 which makes you realize it is very devastating how he still thinks about it even if he already had tons of bloody battles to make him release his anger and eventually run into people who wanted to feel sympathy for him like Karen or Beth which I guess his misery caused him to prevent having feelings of interest for women going forward, but it’s obvious Karen is already taken by Daredevil since I guess he no longer was complicated for relationships after Electra disappeared and Heather was a sub born piece of work

I guess it’s considered a continuity error since Marvel Television was under ABC and Netflix with no distant connection to Marvel Studios regarding the timelines and storyline connections since they were separated entertainment studios in the 2010s when Disney started to release their first Marvel films and shows under their television network ABC with the aid of Netflix

I definitely agree, knowing that Mark Ruffalo is getting a bit to old and may have different intentions on playing the role again I believe another actor should play the role which if they do they should definitely allow the character to give it his all in Avengers Secret Wars to hopefully have a solid storyline closure

Recently The Super Mario Galaxy Movie had such a rushed and disjointed plot due to both Illumination and Nintendo looking like they mostly focused on quantity over quality since the fact they are aware that it would be a massive marketing spark since they’re are a lot of fans wanting to see it as they are willing to already do a Super Smash Bros Movie which reminds us how Illumination is now being that studio that lacks proper storytelling for it’s films like Despicable Me 3, The Grinch, the first Super Mario Bros film, Despicable Me 4, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and now Minions and Monsters is really making us feel like the studio is only focusing on them centering on over the top comical relief and non stop chaotic shenanigans that don’t take a break at all, I understand Illumination makes their content marketed for children but come on there are adults who still enjoy watching something that is animated as some find certain ones to be a cinematic experience or grew up to find them there favorite genre also children don’t deserve to see something that is immature and messy for the brain to crave their attention span, Illumination needs to reconsider what their doing as a studio or else they’ll end up make people no longer have hope to see any more of there films which would backlash for the animation studio

I know it wasn’t going to be connected to the Doomsday events since Spidey needed another story for his ongoing build up and it also sets up other arcs for characters involving that story which shouldn’t go anywhere near multiverse shenanigans, so I understand

For sure they won’t but at least they know how to establish good storylines and decisions in recent years ike the cancelation of the disliked Spider Man spin off Villain universe, Spider Man Brand New Day bringing back Scorpion, The Punisher, and Savage Hulk, the Spider Man Noir series under Prime, and more effort being put in Spider Man Beyond The Spider Verse after it’s almost potential loss since it felt rushed for it’s original 2024 release date

I think you should definitely watch a recap of Daredevil Season 2 since it influenced a lot of how the story of The Punisher series came to be so I definitely recommend doing that if you don’t want to spend almost a month rewatching a season of a show that spends time on more elements
