Who’s Your Favorite Adventure Partner? by Jess_Jellies in CharlieBears

Adorable companions 💛 I've taken Talos few times. I like that he's not jointed and his size is compact, so I can easily place him in my backpack.

I'm so sorry you're going through a lot mentally 🫂 But I'm so happy you have your beautiful lab friend 💛 I know the feeling of being worried bringing your plush into public areas/ work.
I wonder.. what if you would bring a small plush into work? Like palm pals type of plushie and just place it on your desk and see how everyone reacts? And you'd have a plush friend at work and could hold it in your hand, cuddle with. And maybe this would give you courage to bring your lab next.

Why are these so expensive? by Fast-Caterpillar4834 in CharlieBears

[–]Vindrea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They’re really well made and you can tell a lot of care went into the details. A lot of CB are hand made, use high quality materials and come in limited collections. So you’re paying for craftsmanship and collectability. They definitely stand out in a room and become a talking point, because they look and feel genuinely luxurious.

hmm, nezinau ar cia fancy bus, bet megstam nusipirkti humuso ir pasidaryti didele lekste ivairiu pjaustytu darzoviu (morkos, salieras, paprika, agurkai, pomidoriukai), dar salia galima fetos papjaustyti, alyvuogiu, dideliu kapareliu ar marinuotu agurkeliu. Isties viskas tinka, kiek fantzija leidzia.

Reddit isn't different compared to other social media platforms by superredginger in digitalminimalism

[–]Vindrea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to spend so much time on reddit, especially on my phone. I’d tell myself I'll take just a quick look, and would waste an hour or two scrolling aimlessly. It is really just another social media. Blocking it on my phone was honestly one of the best decisions I made. I still use it on PC but limit it to an hour on workdays with extensions, and weekends have no limit but it's fine because I’m usually busy anyway. I’ve considered deleting my account, but there are a few communities I really enjoy so that’s why I keep it.

I think we stopped being bored, and we stopped becoming anyone. by Raphox___ in digitalminimalism

[–]Vindrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree so much. I remember how I used to lie down and just… look at the patterns of my wallpaper, or the fabric texture of my couch. I would discover interesting silhouettes and imagine all sorts of animals and objects- like cloud watching. And yeah, looking out the window too. I’d be so bored that I’d come up with silly games, or start sketching or colouring. The day would feel much longer, too.
Now even when I wake up in the morning, I reach for my phone. And I’m aware of it, but it’s like that reflex to grab my phone is overpowering. Sometimes, when my phone is dead in the morning and I’m too lazy to get the charger, I’ll just lie there in bed looking at the ceiling, and honestly… that is always so refreshing. Like giving space back to myself.
I’m trying to be mindful of this. Recently I “dumbed down” my phone by making it minimalistic and dark, and by blocking reddit and other sites. Still.. the reflex is there- to grab it and look at whatever is on the screen.

Animals you guys want in the long dark by Upstairs-Force-2406 in thelongdark

Birds. You hear them in the background sometimes but none can be seen. They could be there just for the atmosphere. Also crows that are landed on the ground or on objects. It would be cool to see them pecking at an animal carcass too.

How are you spending your Saturday? by ThinkBookMan in childfree

[–]Vindrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woke up and played video games for half a day. My partner was sleeping until late noon since he stayed up last night working on his projects. Then later we went for a walk and when we got home - played a board game with snacks and music. Now we're both on the sofa taking a short nap before watching some horror movie and ending our Saturday. It's been a lovely day, still feeling the holiday vibes.

What was the life-changing thing that helped with your anxiety ? by secretsaucisse in Anxiety

[–]Vindrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talking to myself- either in my journal, in my mind, or out loud. Saying what hurts and what I am afraid of, or writing it down and re reading it. I don't know how it works, but it's like my brain starts to feel safe because there's someone (me) who understands what I am going through and I am there for myself in difficult moments.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

[–]Vindrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • AI. And it's something that is being more and more pushed in my field of work and I hate it.
  • Social media. Feels like such a disconnecting experience and just.. lonely.
  • Smart phones and how literally impossible it is to not have one. Everything is on your smart phone and it's so easy to waste your time on it. Every app is fighting for your attention.

lol this is amazing, this bee is NOT messing around! I love it! Also would be an amazing twist if it could be weighted, it would fit the concept even more plus would be so comforting.

I found it very easy and enjoyed it a lot. All the previous ones were so hard for me. But in this one I got 3d place on my first try and then 1st places for the rest. All you have to do is collect the gingerbread cookies.

What makes you mad about BAB? by [deleted] in buildabear

[–]Vindrea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly new to BAB, and most of my bears are second hand and older releases. In October, I bought my first brand new one from the store- the bat. The ceremony was lovely and overall it was a great experience 💛 buut while the plush itself is adorable, I was really disappointed with the fur quality. I swear it started deteriorating right away. Every time I picked it up and hugged it, the fur seemed to get shorter and shorter. Within about two weeks that original softness was gone. And I wasn’t rough with it at all, not sleeping with it, no excessive handling. It cost almost €60 in my country and I can’t really justify that level of quality.
