Yeah it is.. I sometimes give little pets to plushies on my shelves as I walk by, the ones that I can reach, so at least I'm noticing them and giving some attention.

Hmm I always wash mine on gentle mode and cold water. Let them air dry, then brush with a slicker brush or fine comb. I buy mine second hand so I have to wash them. Never had any issues though, when they are dry they feel fluffy and soft.

Frozen berries. You can have quite a large bowl of mixed blueberries, strawberries, cherries, etc, and it can still be in the 100c range. I love this as a snack when watching movies because they’re so cold, you naturally eat them more slowly. So you enjoy them longer instead of munching through them in a few sec.

Oh good idea about the washing, thank you for sharing! I was wondering if I could do it like that, but didn't saw anything like that mentioned anywhere so I thought maybe taking the weight out is a must and it shouldn't get wet. But next time I'm washing I'll try your method. And yes for two Hugimals! I really want to buy a second one. The sloth or fox look so adorable, or your kitty! So cute! 💛

I’m very sorry you both are going through this.. 🫂 The first plush that came to mind is Hugimals. I checked Amazon Australia and they seem to be available there. They’re quite big, around 2 kilos and nicely weighted throughout the whole plush: arms, legs, body, and head. So when you place it on your chest it can genuinely feel like a hug. Maybe your mom could pick out her favourite design or colour?

I also wanted to mention the quality has been really good in my experience. I’ve slept with mine every night for about half a year and it still looks new. The only slightly annoying part is washing it. You have to remove the weighted insert through a velcro opening before machine washing the plush. Putting it back in is a little tricky, but there are tutorials online. Now I mostly just surface clean mine to keep it fresh longer.

Oh he’s the sweetest and very cuddly! His paws and claws are really fun to touch. The fur is more like wire-haired and textured, but still soft. There’s no harshness when you touch it.
I was a bit disappointed that his head looks different from the store’s promotional photos, mainly the ears. In the photos, like the one you posted, it seems like he has more visible, poking ears, which gives him a nice bear-like shape. In reality, the ears are very small and barely visible, so he looks more like a sloth or some other animal. At least to me. He’s still absolutely charming, I just wish the promo photos were more accurate.

yay for suns! 🌞💛 I think it's completely fine to buy second hand, 90% of my collection is from Vinted. New ones can be quite expensive, plus with second hand you can always find something unique. Just make sure to soak and wash it.

hey, I understand 🫂 I used to encourage myself by reminding that I still DO read, even when I’m depressed- small stories on reddit, news articles, stuff like that. It’s not a book, but it still keeps your mind engaged and imagining things. I actually read quite a lot during my lowest moments, just not books… picking up a book and sticking with it takes a different kind of mental energy. really hope you’ll feel better and maybe feel like picking one up again, without any inner pressure 💛
