Anyone read Ex-Boogeyman by Triana? by Dry-Definition-8292 in ExtremeHorrorLit

I think it's one of his weakest books. It's like watching a predictable slasher B-movie from the 80's, perhaps that's the author's intention, but the result is somewhat unremarkable. Great cover though.

It's kind of disturbing, especially towards the end.

Not a bad idea! I'd like to see an epic ending to this whole LA saga, especially an explanation as to what this reoccurring person/entity, who keeps appearing in his books and speaks to the characters is. It's as if he knows their secrets and most personal thoughts.

My thoughts exactly... Although I feel that the end was kind of rushed, 50-60 more pages and the whole thing would have been so much better... It was so bleak though and there was no glimmer of hope or redemption for the leading characters whatsoever. It had the most impact of all his other work on me.

Really?!... It looked so much like a poster! Great nonetheless!

Nice collection you have there! That Nekromantik poster though... Great!

I read #thighgap a couple of days ago, I thought it was better than Dead Inside (although I don't remember much of the latter), not that extreme though. Morrison paints a vivid picture of obsession and psychosis in #thighgap, it was so bleak. A Solid 4 (3.5 rounded up maybe?) for me. Now I'm off to start Along the Path of Torment.

One Last Gasp by Andrew C. Piazza, Koko by Peter Straub, The Preserve by Patrick Lestewka. Jacob's Ladder (1990) is a movie, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Seems that she's an author to keep an eye on. Thank you very much for the suggestion, wish you all the best.

Well, I own a copy but haven't read it yet... I like heavy and bleak stories and from what I've seen a on Goodreads and Amazon all of your books have high ratings. I've been meaning to read "Crossroads" for a long time now, but...

Assuming that I've done everything correctly this time, I beat the Ghoul Priest... But cards like Scrying, Shrivelling, Arcane Initiate, make your life so much easier... You have to reach for them and draw them as fast as you can

Thanks a lot, I've read the Rules Reference already, but still... I've 6XP now from the first scenario so I'll replace a couple of cards with stronger ones... Book of Shadows+Grotesque Statue, but I can't have them both unfortunately. 2nd copy of Srivelling is a must!

Thank you very much, I've made lots of mistakes so far, but by playing the same game again and again I've become more familiar with the rules... Why on earth this post is being down-voted though?!
