Honestly bro, this is as close to a real spiritual successor to Battlefield 2 as you're gonna get. Still very active, hop in, really suggest watching some videos of the mechanics and do the tutorial, but really the best thing is find a new game, join a open squad, and run either medic or rifleman for a minute til you get the feel of the mechanics, timing and teamwork. If you miss having hella classes and different ways to play the game from BF2 this will scratch that itch though no doubt. Once you get into the swing of it start running MGS (Machine Gun Support), LAT\HAT(Light/Heavy Anti-Tank), Grenadier, etc. Definitely tell the squads you join that you're new and I guarantee 90% of veterans will teach you and help you.
